I'm married, I have one car and she has one car. Before I was married I had, at one point, a CBR-F4i, a '90 Vanegon, '99 integra type-r, '84 chevy silverado, and a '91 RX-7......... Get married, it changes things

I'm 21, down to 2 cars and a parts car. Like many have said its hard not to buy a car when a good deal comes up. That's usally why I own so many, also to the people asking how you can afford multiple cars. Regardless of expenses, if you buy cars for alot less then they are worth, it becomes easy to own multiple cars.
Most people buy cars for 5k and I've never spent more then 2300.00
I sold the jetta for 3500 at the end of winter, the corrado is for sale currently for 5000, and the 325is is the current dd, looking for another e30 for winter though.
I don't think I could go without atleast 2 cars, I break them far to often to only own one. Blew the tranny in the e30 and rocked the corrado for a few weeks while I looked for a cheap e30 parts car for my 5 speed swap. It helps to be able to look for a deal instead of paying out the ass because you need the parts asap.
for me the answer is pretty clear - money and priorities
while i love cars, like it's my number one passion, it isnt the definition of my life.
2 cars could be enough for me, but i daily drive my car.
sure having cars for different occasions and weather would be great, but budget is limited.
and in addition, it isnt about the quantity for me, but the quality.
My numbers aren't as big as yours, but I'm only 18...
I own one right now, my benz, but I'm looking at buying another here before long. This is already my 3rd car to own, and all of them so far have been far from stock.

I'm not sure what I will buy next, but it's either fix everything on the benz so it is running in tip top condition, or buy a car for a DD and work on the benz slowly. I'm leaning toward either fixing the benz to high standards or compromising between the two options, which isn't likely. Go big or go home.
I just don't have money for 2 cars. I sure would love to have a beater that I could drive in the winter and when I am working on my car, but that is not affordable at this time. I'm 22 and commute to college full time, work part time, have rent, gas, car payment, insurance, cable, and all that other crap every month that kills my car budget.
Its my last year in college and I am looking for job right now. I sure would like to get a decent job in my field next summer, and hopefully in a year have a beater car.
I'd like to know how people in their late teens/early 20's have had 10+ cars and say they have paid for them all on their own. I work my ass off (30-60 hours depending on school) and have a hard enough time keeping up with one car. lol
I've never had a "real job" and I have already payed for 3 and I'm 18. Gotta find the good deals. Plus, some people know how to make money, some people don't. That is why their are billionaires and people who work for a mid income salary their whole life. By the time I'm 20 I will probably have owned over 10 if I keep going at this rate, which I will probably go faster.
Not to mention you tend to be broke often because almost all of the money you get goes toward your cars instead of things it should. It's a kind of addiction you could say.
I have owned two houses and been married in the past, working on buying outright a new pad now, but that's 50/50.... all that shit was cool but cars are what keeps me the happiest on a day to day basis.
I spend my money on cars, women, and beer...and the rest just gets wasted.
ive had one car which is my first for 3 years now. and i hopefully will get a project car soon (within the next year lol). only making 190 (after paying for rego, insurance and board) a week doesnt allow much
