• told her yes, she beat around the bush on telling me if she did.
• need to say bye bye to feelings because our friendship is too important.

I feel ya on that one. But i'm going from relationship to friendship instead of the other way around which i think is tougher. Anyway, she knows you like her, if she truly liked you she'd do something. It's obviously just not meant to be when they bring up the friend card.

But she's probably just trying to keep her options open as should you. Staying friends keeps the "relationship card" at least somewhat on the table. And maybe down the road you'll both be in the same place for it to work out, but for now, I'd stay in touch.

Me personally, if the "friendship" goes on for more than a year after she knows how you feel, then fuck her(not literally). Maybe once you're out of her life completely she'll realize what she had.

well, not to get my hopes up too much...but i figured I'd update this thread.

I don't feel like typing it all out, but basically my best friend of 6 years and I are now "dating." Other guy is out of the picture. We'll see how this plays out, so far, I love it.

damn dude i feel your pain for this one, i recently went through this with one of my best friends, everyone of her friends and family said she cared about me more than anyone else before, we got along better than most of my friends i have now, and we hung out all the time, I finally said something and asked what was going on and she just wanted to stay friends but maybe be more later on down the road...after that she started working full time and I havnt talked to her in a while...after that everything kind of fell apart which blows but I guess worked out in the end since I felt like i was just wasting my time
