Nah, you might be thinking of Ursuline College. We're a small D3 school, we play schools like Johns Hopkins, Swarthmore, Haverford... really academic schools that aren't too bad at sports. it's in the Centennial Conference.

Anyways, here's what I have been doing since the middle of October of this year. I used to play hockey and did that for about 6 years before I became a lazy ass and haven't been working out/gym since I quit when I was 18. I'm 23 now.
I'm 5'6".
I started at 130-135 lbs depending on the day. I was looking to slim down and tone up.
Started with:
3-4x a week slight jog for ~2 miles on a treadmill
- Bench @ 115 3x8
- Bicep curl 15 3x8
- Crunches 2x25
I took a couple of weeks off in between when I started and now, but stats of this week:
126-128 lbs depending on the day
I'm trying to get my body used to running and working out, so I haven't been doing much other than easier type stuff.
- Run 3-4 times a week at least 2.5 miles each time outside.
3x a week I:
- Bench @ 135lbs 3x8
- Bicep curls @ 25lb dumbell 3x8
- Overhead press @ 15lb dumbell 3x8
- Shoulder shrugs @ 20lb dumbell 3x8
- Bicycle crunch 2x25
I can definitely see an improvement. My stomach area has slimmed down and my upper body has more definition. After the new year, I think I'm going to hit more target areas in my work out.Originally posted by Jesus Christif "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" doesnt include being able to buy a huge veiny motherfucker then the declaration of independence isnt worth the hemp it was written on.Originally posted by Jedidiahhe speaks the truth.. he doesn't even have the -- -- eyes.

Senior year of high school I weighed 135-140lbs, benched 200lbs (1 rep max), squatted 350, dead lifted 375 and ran a 4:40 mile.
Now I weigh like... 150-160 and haven't benched or really gotten in a gym in a while.
I'm going to get back into it. Try to bulk myself up now that my running "career" is over.Christof Goulart

Meh, I don't find it to be that great. I was mid pack for the most part. 4th and 5th here and there.
The strength training was what got me to 4:40. The previous season I tore my hamstring during XC and then in February broke my leg sledding into a brick lamp post. And I wouldn't have been anywhere near 4:40 if I hadn't been pushed in strength training.Christof Goulart

I can do 3 miles and average 6.50-7mph. That's terrible for sprinters, so good thing I'm not one.Originally posted by Jesus Christif "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" doesnt include being able to buy a huge veiny motherfucker then the declaration of independence isnt worth the hemp it was written on.Originally posted by Jedidiahhe speaks the truth.. he doesn't even have the -- -- eyes.

Hahaha, dude, if you trained like I have over the years, I'm sure you could pump out a pretty sick mile time. Don't be impressed by times and all that. As long as you can be devoted and create and achieve personal goals, then you're doing awesome.
When I got to college I ran Steeple, now there is a race that kicks your ass. Ran at Wake Forest and fell flat on my face. PR'd at 10:12 (3000 meters).
Now I kind of want to see how big I can get... Make the ladies come to me.Christof Goulart

PS: You're the runner... Is it easier to shed inches (stomach area) by distance running like I have been or sprint/interval training?Originally posted by Jesus Christif "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" doesnt include being able to buy a huge veiny motherfucker then the declaration of independence isnt worth the hemp it was written on.Originally posted by Jedidiahhe speaks the truth.. he doesn't even have the -- -- eyes.

Either long or short would work.
I like sprint work more, just because I like interval workouts more than 10-14 mile runs.
But distance running would burn a lot of calories, whereas sprints are more for muscular strength and speed.
I dunno... I can't really decide hahaha. For a runner, I'm terrible with advice about running.Christof Goulart
