It took two days of adjusting, cutting and grinding to make these fit right! I'll go lower eventually, but it's probably going to stay like this for a bit. I actually had to raise the rear up a 1/4" from those pics so the rear wheel lip would not hit the fender lip, or what was left of it.

That fits like a glove!

Makes me sad that the E46 fenders are wider than the E36 fenders. The have absolutely and 100% no rub I had to pull my rear fenders quite a bit on my E36 to fit the same sizes and offsets. Meh. Still looks good, lol.

You're probably right, I've had more trouble with the wheel lip contacting the fender lip than I have the tires rubbing.

The shop that refinished them called it Volvo silver. I think it's just a basic, no flake silver.

I did have 18s, but if he is going to run a similar look fitment wise he would still have the same problem. My lip was not rolled flat because I didn't want to flare the fender at all. The roll was not "shit", my tires ran wide, maybe that was my problem. The fronts didn't rub at all. Only the rears, and they rubbed a lot. I don't get why that is so hard to understand?

"albeit not the best" is what you said so I ran with it.

It's not hard at all, everything is understood. You can roll the lip flat without flaring, just keep the roller at the right angle and it will stay vertical and it will still push out as I said before.

Thanks for the pics. The Discount Tire local to me has The Falken 512's in a 225/45/17 and a 215/45/17 for a reasonable price. Any problem with a 45 profile instead of a 40?

45 is too tall imo. I'd go for what Kielan* said in his first post although if you went 225 35 out back would get rid of some of the natural rake and be a better stretch match
