nah 3 years worth of planning and funds... looking for the right chassis -just really took my time -did all the labor on my own while working full time/married life... it is far from "done" -but at least is drivable.

As far as the intake rad set-up I would probly go with a smaller dual pass rad that could be mounted vertically and still leave enough room for the intake to come over the top.

So you can't mount a dual pass rad the way you did? Well build looks good bro,

Nah you can -just no need -with a dual pass you can run something smaller and get just as good -if not better cooling.

Engine is toast -not sure why but it chewed up the bearings -I had put maybe one mile on it. Started a complete tear down of the motor. FML

                    Oil looking bad:

                    From Rod on #1

looks like I need a new crank, rod and pistons -maybe cam as well...

I was like YAAAAY updates on this sick car, and i come to see this? makes me sad.
Looks like it could be a bad oil pump, but you mentioned it only had 2000miles on it. How you can find the reason for this, so you can get it back up running.

I'm going to look at a few longblocks today -an LS1 and a L33 -both under $500 -I'll drop that in for now and build the LS2

I'm thinking the failure is my fault -I blasted the pan and as it turns out I guess that is a no no.... material prob got stuck in the walls of the pan and came out when it got hot... FML expensive lesson.

Ls1 would be the best option wouldnt it? Wouldnt have to change anything to get it in there and running right?

If I get a truck motor I already have everything to make the swap -so it really does not matter
