Did a little bit of work on the car
Stipped out the final bit of sound deadening from the boot
and painted it
Stripped the paint off some wheel centers for a while
and bought more wheels
I actually bought 2 sets of wheels, but the other set will be a secret buildLast edited by 180roman; 02-02-2014, 01:02 AM.Drinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

Made a list of things I need to do before November
-Rebuild front Calipers
-ABS delete + new Hard lines
-New braided brake lines all round
-Add flex pipe into the dump/front pipe(the cause of the snapped turbo studs)
-Fix turbo/new turbo
-Fusebox relocation/re-wire(if time/motivation allows)
-Fit knuckles(had them for over 6 motnhs and still not fitted, i'm lazy...)
Over the weekend I took off the exhaust to get it modified with a flex pipe and measured up some lengths for the new brake lines I need to make to remove the ABS.
Might not get much done this weeked though as I'm going to go watch a drift comp.Drinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

took out my turbo to fix the broken studs
gave up on that idea and bought an S15 BB T28
cleaned the motor a bit
then i ditched all the old brake lines and ABS system
and started re-building the front brake calipers
Progress is pretty slow as I work full time and can not order the custom brake lines in person
Been doing this on a very tight budget as I'm saving for a trip to Japan in Nov
Hopefully my brake lines will finally be made next week as I placed the order this week, so I can start making progress again
Low life problems: where is my paint...

Decided to go a bit crazy with a mild wire tuck and fuse/relay box relocation
This is just the beginning
Looking pretty messy
About to turn this into a spider web
ABS wiring from the engine bay removed
Trying to make sense of the mess
New fuse/relay box muck up
Plenty of chopping and soldering left to do to tidy the messLast edited by 180roman; 02-02-2014, 01:04 AM.Drinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem

Thanks Everyone
Should probably update my progress of what has been happening
Have not spend much money on this car as of late since I've been saving heaps to go to Japan at the end of October, but I'll get to that later
So what has been happening is i made up the new brake hardlines to convert to non-ABS brake system setup.
Then i decided i did not like the stock location of the charcoal canister, as it will get in the way of my new intercooler setup. I did not want to get rid of it completely, coz cops here can send you to get emissions tested if they see you don't have one.
This is the photo of the final location with a custom bracket i made up for it and painted flat white primer.
I also polished up some bolts... because racecar...
This is a photo about midway through, as you can see by the middle one some had some serious rust on them
Also chucked the S15 T28 BB turbo on, to see how everything fits up, but still need to get braided water lines for it to fit it.
The weather outside turned out to be awesome on this day, so i took the wiring outside to enjoy the sunshine
Just mocking up the new headlights wiring loom
As you can see the interior is a nightmare atm as i had to unwrap the whole loom to completely de-pin any traces of ABS wiring.
Onto more recent events, i baked my brake calipers after painting to cure the high temp paint, so this weekend i should hopefully get a chance to drop in some new seals in them
Also have been getting a bit side tracked helping out a mate with wiring on his Onevia conversion on his S13. Which scored me a slab of beer and some front corner indicators.
Now as I mentioned earlier, I am heading of to Japan at the end of October for 2 weeks of madness. I'm going there with a few mates and we are staying at the Ebisu Circuit for over a week.
Which brings me to my latest purchase...
This is my new car for the Japan trip that I will be thrashing all week long
It has an extensive list of mods and pushes out around 250kWs at the wheels
This is almost double the power level of my car at home, so it will be a whole new experienceLast edited by 180roman; 02-02-2014, 01:06 AM.Drinking Enthusiast with a Car Problem
