I should update this thread.
I'm working part time now and earning money again, so the 180 should get dusted off soon and is planned to make an appearance on the track at the end of August.
Meanwhile I'm blowing my tax return and new wages to buy some wheels for the Crown, which should have a thread on here some time soon.

Since I'm still jobless and not doing much to my car, I've been helping out in my spare time with friends' cars.
Take one crashed Cefiro shell, apply hammer to make it semi straight and then drop in an RB30ET from a VL Turbo Commodore
The result is this

The bonnet would require some serious modification to make fit...
So out came the grinder

Hulk Smash things with hammers and weld on some metal supports
It was 2 am, so make things fit > make things pretty

Haven't been doing much other then slowly working on polishing the rest of the wheels
And by slowly, I mean I've been realy lazy because of the cold weather and have not done much other than strip the clear coat so far.
In mechanical news, I will be picking up a spare f**ked SR20 motor soon to try my hand at re-building one later on.

I have no real updates since I've done fuck all to my car due to not having any money, can't even drive it
A few of my friends were back in Japan last week to drift which made me reminisce of my trip in Nov, so I had a look through my GoPro footage from Nov and whipped up a small video.
This was just some playing around on North Course at Ebisu Circuit on Sat of Autumn Matsuri 2012

What do you think...?

Yeah it made a pretty loud bangOriginally posted by Australian Stance View PostWas it loud? I can hear cars ripping it on PRINNY highway right now lol
Yeah, who knew drifting is a useful skillOriginally posted by Miroteknik View Postyou were able to prevent an accident because youre a drifter
Actually this wasn't my first blow out at over 100kmh.
Yet to find out how people manage to loose control when a tire blows out, I just hold it straight and slowly pull over while gradually slowing down.

Just a small recap of the weekend.
Went to a drift day on Sat and volunteered to help out, did some flaggy work on one of the corners and got real close to the action, which made for an awesome day.
On Sunday I went for a bit of a road trip over the weekend. Need to pick up a motor 130kms from my house, but i was borrowing my mates ute across on the other side of town to get this motor, so the trip was going to be 200kms to get there.
I got the ute in the morning and made my way there, picked up my motor and a few other bits and piece my friend threw in for free as he was clearing out the shed and headed back.
50kms into my journey back the rear 31" tire delaminated and explode while I was doing 110kmh.
Managed to catch the car as it got swung across the next lane.
Just my luck the spare tire was a 14" stock rim and tire and the rolling diameter had a huge difference.
So I had to call my mate who's ute I borrowed and he offered to bring up the correct 15" spare with a 31" tire on it he had laying around.
About 1.5hrs later he arrived and we charged the wheel.
On closer inspection the blow out bend a mud guard and torn out the mount for it out of the metal, torn out the fuel filler hose and smashed a tail light.
Here is the tire

A quick polish of some lips for practice.
Not bad, need to buff it more, can still see tiny scratches from 2000grit

Yep thats the car. I'll just throw some of my 17s on it until I figure out the correct specs needed to fill those guards. Might go 15s on it later, or just sell it to fund other things.Originally posted by Mr Von Smack View PostThis was the car you were making room for?!? That's sick as. What are you plans for it?
Swapped a spare SR20 motor I have for that car.Originally posted by AccordEuro View PostI certainly hope that you did acquire that.
It wasn't money spent, so it doesn't countOriginally posted by anth View Postboo! money and time that could be better spent on the s30
I don't have the money to do the S30 properly atm, and I want to do it right, so it will be a long term build.
Want to strip it to bare metal and fix any issues that may be under the bog.
