It's been a while since updating here.

Unfortunately last week I had a run in with a Freightliner truck. I was pulled up at the lights in the far right lane and he just decided to merge into me. Here are the photos I got from the scene.

And here are some more photos I got once I got to work and started the whole get a quote for the repairs.

Anyway, I dropped the car off at my body shop of choice, C & C Collision out in Alhambra, CA.
Luckily for me, the owners there are both Porsche fanatics and I may even be able to score an engine from one of them. Hopefully everything works out with insurance etc and I get a nicely fixed and painted drivers rear quarter.

Unfortunately the engine is starting to run a lot worse. I have been in contact with Arling of Rstrada to discuss an engine swap. It looks like a 3.0l SC motor might be the way to go, as for when I can start this process, hopefully soon. I need to purchase a cheap daily driver before I can start saving money for the engine swap.

I also have scheduled my drivers license test etc for next Wednesday, so that I can finally get my CA drivers license.

Ahaha nah, I accidentally left it in his car one weekend!

I believe there might be a good amount of pizza photos though...

You let Khalil borrow your camera?

Wonder how many pictures of pizza are now on your memory card.

Ordered some stainless steel brake lines and new brake fluid. I want to get as good a feel in the brake pedal as possible asap.

Hopefully get my camera back from Khalil later this week so I can grab some photos of the shifter setup as well as the start of stripping the interior and other fixes around the car. Images soon!

Sorted out sloppy gear shifts over the weekend and this morning, I also installed the Rennline Aluminum Shift Linkage Cover that I ordered a while back.

I removed the tunnel carpet, as well as the gearshift boot. I'm slowly going to start stripping the interior and putting the carpet away in our storage container.

Spoke to a few shops over the past week in regards to options for the engine. A lot of shops told me to not worry about the 2.7l and upgrade to a 3.0l SC motor. Looks like I'll be putting away a decent chunk of cash each month and hopefully in September I'll pull the trigger on an engine upgrade at RStrada all going well.

Hopefully spending some time throughout the week on the Porsche.
I am starting to get even sloppier gear shifts so going to do the shifter bushings etc as well as just an overall refresh of the gear shifter (new grease etc).

I am thinking I might pull the headliner out as well, it currently sags and I really want to strip the interior so that's one step closer! The only problem is that to remove the headliner correctly, it requires the removal of front and rear windshield. I am going to just take a box cutter to it and trim around the seals and hope for the best!

Thanks man! I've actually got the blue plates back on, they're so much better than the white ones.

Got some gift certificates for Pelican Parts for my 23rd birthday on Sunday, so last night I decided to put them into action.

I decided it was time to sort out the front suspension with what money I had, so I purchased the Turbo Tie Rod kit as well as new sway bar bushings.

I also ordered new headlamp seals, tail light seals and tail light installation kit, as well as an upgraded shifter bushing kit to get rid of my sloppy gear changes, as well as two books. I got 101 Projects for your Porsche 911 and How to rebuild and modify Porsche 911 engines. Guess it is good to read up one the how-to's before the engine gets stripped for a top end rebuild at some point.

Figure I'll grab some photos at some point, she needs a wash before Luftgekühlt on Sunday, so will probably grab them before that.
