My old radiator had a metal bottle cap JB welded to where the drain plug was supposed to be and since I'm going to be taking long drives on a desolate road when summer is over, I thought it would be best to replace it. It was my first time bleeding a cooling system and I haven't taken it for a drive yet so fingers crossed.
Here's the previous owner's repair
And the new aluminum radiator with silicone hoses
I also got really frustrated with the electric fan not fitting with the thicker radiator so I pulled all of it out and reconnected the clutch fan right. Remember that nest of wiring? It was thrown out of the car in a very frustrated manner
I still have to get the headlight wiring organized and figure out why one of them doesn't work half the time
I had to put the oem intake back on because the hoses didn't fit with the heat shield there

Well I found out that my new thermostat housing was leaking, so I just decided to put the old one back on and use rtv on it to make sure it didn't leak at the seam now. It is supposed to sit 24 hours so I can't top off the coolant and try it out until tomorrow night.
While I was doing that, I also changed out all my spark plugs
The old ones weren't terrible, but I had no idea how old they were so that's why I changed them
Then I got pretty worried when I pulled this one out
But it was the cylinder right under the oil cap, so I realized I just need to be more careful when I pour oil in
And the last thing I did today was polish my exhaust tips. They're still pitted pretty bad, but they look so much better

one wheel is assembled! The other three will be assembled tomorrow, tires go on Friday, and I'll get the suspension all set up for the e36 meet on Sunday
Also I have to mount the tires myself at the shop. Does anyone know if you can mount a 205/40 on an 8 without having to spray ether and light it? I'm a little nervous about that. Also, is that little stretch going to be pretty reliable on long drives? The guys at the shop don't think so and it has me worried.

All four wheels are assembled
Also when I took out the electric fan, I didn't have a clutch fan in it and since I'll be driving 300 miles down to Savannah next week, I decided to put one in
The aluminum radiator is bigger and the fan just barely clears it now
