i love your 36 boss, i too no longer have a girlfriend and my twin just moved away so i feel like i kind of have nobody my but my dogs and my car. I too will probably spend today in loneliness:I
I took advantage of the nice weather and stripped the paint on the wheels yesterday
And I started working on the curb rash. This is the deepest cut and it's getting better, but I don't think I'll be able to get it completely smooth but the rest should be no problem.
So you may have noticed that my pinstripe didn't match and that the door stripe was a completely different color than the rest of the car. It happened because the previous owner found a sierrarot parts car and so he swapped all the parts over that were better on that car, which included the doors.
Well every time I took a picture, I would see that awful off white line across the door and it would make me unreasonably angry. So today while it was hotter than satan's asshole outside, I got the pinstripe off the door.
I'll get it off the rest of the car soon, but my parents wanted to go get dinner and I'm fat and I don't turn down food so I had to put that pinstripe on hold.
Here's how it looked before
I started by peeling the stripe off very carefully with a razor blade
Running a razor down good paint has to be one of the most unnerving things I've done to the car
Then I cleaned up the glue with goo gone and it was done. So worth it and took way less time than I expected
When the light hits it just right, you can see the ghost of the pinstripe because the paint is faded a bit, but at least that will match down the whole car when I'm done
Have you polished the area around the stripes? I took a sticker off the back of my car and polished it afterwards, the polish took the fading right out.

Not yet, I'm going to wait until all the pinstripe is gone and then I'll do it all at once.
Today I painted the lip black because I've never been a fan of color matched lips. It turned out glossier than I expected, but I like it. I also put in new screws because the old ones were incredibly rusty.
So in total, I removed eight zip ties that were holding stuff together.
Instead of zip tying everything, I put in new hardware and stuff, and all that is left to fix is that the mounts are bent so the bumper doesn't sit just right, but I'll fix it eventually.
