The frame horn on the passenger side is crumpled from the previous owner and the caster is off due to me hitting the curb. I'll probably be keeping most of my stuff from it, sell the engine and trans or keep just the engine, I'm keeping the suspension and exhaust, nardi knobs and such but the rest is gonna go. I can't fathom spending 3 grand on getting a frame straightened on a 900 dollar car so I'm going to be on the hunt for a cleaner shell and probably be selling some stuff on other forums. Probably won't be seeing any updates for a good while but it's been real sw, peace.
Ouch man. Sorry to hear that happened

I hope you get a much better one next time, can't wait to see what you're gonna do with it.

Maybe you should do a db8 type r inspired build

I prefer open diff to welded.

I've driven cars with open, welded, clutch type, torsen, VLSD, and shimmed VLSD to 2 way differentials. Welding a diff should only be a track only thing, it's ok for a beginner track only car, but get a real limited slip if possible. A proper limited slip will be more predictable on the street, have grip when needed, can lock real nice for drifting(depending on sensitivity), and you don't have tire chirp when turning at low speeds. VLSD's can be a little numb feeling when they get hot, but shim it and you'll be good.

Seriously though, save up and get a good differential instead of welding it. It's totally worth it.

You can use the aristo LSD out of the JZS147 and JZS161 in the Z30 IIRC. Those go for around $300~600 in good condition depending if it's an A/T or M/T model. You may need to swap some parts and need the JZS halfshafts though.

                Sorry OP for threadjacking.

                • Nah it's cool man haha. I was worried about if it got welded the screeching and stress it'll put on the welds when I'm not drifting lol. But, I would not want those spider gears breaking while I'm driving so I'd rather just save and get something good, especially if it's my daily. Like you said if it was a dedicated track car then a welded diff would definitely be more cost efficient. And rice4life you know your stuff man that's rad

                      • So I'm back guys and I ended up buying that Integra. It was 3 hours away from me in Indiana. Car was talked up as in it had a lot of flaws that weren't brought out in the ad.
It's dark green and I believe it was repainted that color but either way it looks like shat. It's got eBay headers/Fart can, really dusty short throw shifter, blinkers don't work, dusty tint, eBay coilover sleeves on stock struts. It has a b18a1 head with a b20b block nothing crazy just bolt ons. It's slow and too loud but it'll change in due time. Now for pics.

Swapped my 90-91 bumper on and pitched the beat up one and put my nardi and wheel setup in. Working on prepping floors for truck bed liner as well.

carpet literally had ants living under it and the linkage is so loose and hits the exhaust. It's crusty but to be continued amigossss....

                            • I don't know if I'll make a new thread or not we'll see. Ideally, it would probably be less of a hassle for those who have never read my thread. But, I probably will ride on these eBay coils until spring because winters about to come out here in Michigan and I gotta daily this in the meantime. I'll probably pull the exhaust off and sell it. I already threw a couple things on Craig's list already and probably more soon as I part the blue Integra out.
