I'm considering it. I've decided against gloss black paint and I'm down to 2 options that I'm torn between.

Option 1: Mirror polish the whole car (its all alluminum panels) and brass plate grill/lights/accents

Option 2: Copper plate the whole car (but in an absolutely perfectly clean way) and leave all the accents chrome/polished

              • If you go for the Copper and chrome why not go all out and bring the rolls back to the 30's with some art deco styling also.

If those are serious options. I fully support either one of them.

Do not let paint get anywhere near that car.

They're more than serious options, I've already started to copper plate the entire body of my '75 Mercedes

                        How about VW V10 TDI?

However I also vote Jaaaaaag V12, or BMW V12. Even though the V10 TDI is a pretty sick engine.

                            • Holy shit, yes! I would need to figure how to bolt up manual tranny though. I have someone interested in buying the cylinder head off the Rolls, a non original replica one goes for $8,500 so trying to figure out what mines worth and if all goes smooth I'll be in the market for a powertrain/drive train pretty soon

This is the question I have for dineno. Since I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination about how large the engine bay for a rolls is or good bay management. What form factor or width for the engine are you looking for? Cause I don't imagine the bay is as wide as a lead sled from the 40's or 50's. All of these engine noted above all come with standard"ish" angle of the "V". I know the V10 BMW has 90, the Jag v12 has shallower angle as do all v12 's (Maybe 60 since that is what 12's of the time saw as standard), and the VW's is also 90 but being sleeved (since it has been chambered for cooling the diesel) runs wider then the BMW. Would a 90 degree angled engine work for looks? They tend to be wider but shorter in height. Or is 60 the way to go? With a slimmer width but taller overall hieght. There a few very shallow "V" engines that have a shallow angle (VR6 is the most popular car engine) that tend to operate in the 10.5 to 15 degree neighborhood and the width is closer to an inline (See picture). This list of truly bad ass engines in the world is quite long especially if weird and strange ones are included.

Not trying to break your balls with a million questions. Just VERY interested in the power plant choice and your thought process behind which engines make the cut.
