Maybe a jaguar V12?
And they can be tuned for more power I think the look of that engine would go well with the car if your going for that look.
I'm a huge fan of those v12 jag motors. I'm first trying to see if I can snag a later model rolls Royce or Bentley motor though, if that doesn't work out the jag v12's are the next pick and bmw v12 if that doesn't work out.

"Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience"
I wish that the early Rolls Royce aircraft engines were more obtainable. Otherwise that'd be my first choice.
In other news I have a local place that does coachwork and full restorations on these pre-war rolls royce's coming to look at the car and quote me on having the body rebuilt. I found the schematics on the frame as well so my welder should be ready to go soon on that. I'm probably going to box the frame too for added support for whichever powertrain/drivetrain I end up going with.
I need to take measurements to day to see what would fit in the car as is. The space isn't insane, but then again there's always the opportunity for overflow on the side and through the hood.
bro I think you accidentally bought a pile of rust
Lol, I'm with him. There's some Rolls Royce w/ your rust bro. The coach builder you're referring to, to re-build the body, sounds severely expensive no? Maybe salvage what you can from the Rolls and go about a more conventional means of making this build work? (i.e. I dunno like a Model A body classed up, or something) Excuse me for saying, I just don't wanna see any of your amazing projects get kicked to the side due to lack of time/funds/patience. Rooting for you bro

I would have bought a Model A if thats what I wanted. I really wanted one of these though, this was no accident or spur of the moment purchase. I'm certainly not afraid of rust and a rotted coach built body with all of the existing ALUMINUM body panels still straight and intact. The Mercedes is still priority, I'm taking my time with the Rolls. It's not as intimidating as it looks though with the right resources at hand.
