I still have 7 massive boxes of parts to go through that I haven't even opened yet. Since the body is coach built with wood framing and I would have to have it rebuilt to chop it anyway I found a local place that rebuilds these bodies from scratch and will be doing that. Then my welder is coming to look at the frame since that's the biggest priority. in the meantime I'll be continuing to disassemble it and inventory parts. The stuff I don't need I'll be selling which will fund both this project and the rest of the mercedes with like $20k left over after that for the next project.

Also That steering wheel is fucking insane! Are you going to refurbish it and get the ignition advance, speed load and the fuel mixture lever working again? That really is the sickest fucking steering wheel in existence! Probably worth more then my car

Got around to taking the pile of stuff off of the car and assessing the frame some more. One side is completely intact and solid and the other side is almost totally gone. I jacked up the car from various points to try leveling everything out and my welder came over to start planning the fab work.

Funny, rat rod v8 is sick most of the time, but that's not enough for a rat royce... Needs moar classy swap.
Thing needs to just drip class somehow. Like on rat rods around my area the monster/beer cans for rad catch cans, this needs a really expensive burbon or something instead.

Wow that frame's toast! If it was mine I'd probably go buy some 2x6 rectangular tube and start over... Or grab some hot rod frame rails from speedway motors or something...

You're right on the same page with me here in that I think the car needs to be dripping in class while also doing unconventional rat rod things.

And they can be tuned for more power I think the look of that engine would go well with the car if your going for that look.
