So not much to update, had 3 garage spaces fall through on me and the cold weather is here. Got a buddy starting up his own Towing/Mustang shop so as a back up plan, I have spoken to him about reassembling this motor for me. Between work, the cold, and no work space I just don't see how I can really get this motor assembled properly myself. Focusing on getting everything painted.

Still need to pick up a 3G alternator and mini high torque starter. Also, still debating on if I should notch the rails to accept a 302 radiator or come up with something to make an E36 radiator work.

Hey hi, get a small case starter(lower cranking amps and has a built in solenoid) and then do a 3G alternator swap. Kind pricey for the alt, but provides like double the power and is a fairly simple wiring job.

Enjoy your car, it looks extremely good. When I was child it was one of my desires.

Yea the 3G alt is a must imo. Small case starter = Mini High Torque Starter?

Got a few more things painted. Throttle Body, Waterpump and Smog pump eliminator bracket.

Tomorrow is going to involve getting the E36 drive-able again. One of the coolant lines heading into the heatercore has failed and the car pisses coolant when the T-Stat opens up, Gonna pull the manifold and hopefully fix it. Then going to re insure the car because I absolutely miss driving this thing and there's a show coming up in Boston in an underground parking garage that I am most definitely going to attend.

Got the distributor cleaned up and painted and installed the new MSD cap. I was suppose to order a black on but without realizing it I ordered a red one... Fuck it. Just going to make do and maybe swap out for a black one at a later date.

Just a couple more pieces to pick up then sending the motor out to get reassembled. Decided it's best get the motor reassembled by someone who knows what they're doing. I have yet to get a garage space so I don't have much of a work area to reassemble the motor myself anyways.
