Not totally positive, but I would guess you will want to remove the paint from the mating surfaces on those heads(where the intake mani and header gaskets go).

Edit: I see you did on one side. Not sure if it matters for the exhaust side(assuming thats the exhaust side, lol). I really don't know about Ford V8s.
Yea I masked off the side that mounts to block but didn't bother masking off the exhaust side. I was too lazy . But I will probably clean that up once I'm done doing the valve springs and such.

Probably the BBK headers and Trickflow Upper and lower manifolds.

Exactly what I'm doing, TFS valve spring kit with retainers, keepers, seals.

I'm going to try. Plan is to use the E36 mounts with the conversion kit. They tell you to use E30 mounts but i know a few people who used E36 and it jacks the motor up. Only downside is the hood won't clear the upper intake manifold. So I'm just gonna cut a square into my hood for the time being and get a scoop probably lol

    Your "to do list" is
Not sure if the FF Overs are gonna happen. Ollie has a LONG list ahead of me and I still have alot of other shit to do for this swap before I start worrying about the body.

    As do I!

    UPDATE:

Here's what I've ordered so far and that's come in.
    -TFS Stage 1 Cam
    -Waterpump
    -TFS Timing Chain Kit
-Valve cover, intake and head gaskets
    -MSD Distributor Cap
    - Ford Racing Spark Plug Wires
    -ARP Head bolts
    -70MM Throttle Body
    - Smog pump eliminator bracket
    -TFS Valve Spring Kit

My dumbass ordered a red rotor cap instead of black . The waterpump, T Body and eliminator bracket are going to be sprayed that low gloss black engine enamel. Everything I can possibly paint is going to be painted on this motor.

I would still like to order an Underdrive pulley kit and need to do some more research as to which starter and alternator I should use, I have been told that the stock ones aren't really efficient and that there are others that should be used instead.

I've started doing the valve springs, doing a bit at a time, will continue more later. This is the first time I am doing this and am pretty much teaching myself with the help of youtube and a local mustang facebook group. lol Not as bad as I thought.

i mentioned the headers you were going to use.the gt40p heads have different plug angles.not all headers will work with those heads.

I am on board for this. as someone that knows nothing about BMWs (I'm in the wrong place right) and has had little to no exposure to the "five oh", this is refreshing.

More specific plans for the bay? Are you handy with a welder?

Bay is getting shaved, nothing crazy. Just removing the seam sealer and smoothing everything out. I'm petty good with a MIG yes.
