Really appreciate the kind words! We will definitely have to meet up there next year.

After all the head work, I missed one damn seal. There is an o-ring that goes the cam seal housing. Threw it back together and it was leaking. In the process of putting it on, the o-ring that I had snapped.... Went to find one and it seems to be something uncommon so I threw in the closest size I could find. A week later, it was spitting. This was a week before leavenworth. 2nd day aired a new seal and t-belt and got it back together a day before we left lol.
Also snagged some exhaust tips which I realized was much needed after I got them on
and off to leavenworth we went.
It rained for probably 3 hours or more on the way there and we layed the car out harder than I think I ever had but she did amazing. Only hiccup the whole way was a fog light falling out on the way home and breaking the glass.
I finally met up with tom who has an awesome e28. We met in the morning to make the drive up with his brother and two buddies. Met a few other faces that were a long time coming as well. Awesome to finally meet people you have talked to online for quite some time for.
Toms e28
And some randoms from the show. I literally took like 8 photos total but it was the best show I have ever attended. Awesome environment of non judgemental vibes. I will be back next year 100%
Again, the car did great this weekend. 800ish miles with no huge hiccups.
Decided to take the GFs camera out tonight to snag some photos of the ol girl tonight too. Photobucket is a real quality killer but whatever.

Well I finally took on a job I have been dreading for quite some time. New head gasket. I noticed it leaking quite a while ago and was seriously scared to take the job on knowing the car is my daily and so on. With leavenworth coming up, the last thing I wanted was for it to get worse than it has been so I borrowed a buddys car for a week and went for it.
I took the easy route of pulling it and pulled it with head/intake/manifolds all together. Took two people and me forgetting to undo some things to get out. Everything surprisingly came off like cake though which was awesome.
The next thing I had to consider was loosening all the rockers to make it so I could move the cam and MAYBE clear the valve for a resurface or do what I was scared of as well and pull the rockers and cam out. So I went for it. That gave me the peace of mind to also have the machinist throw in new valve seals
Now the wait was on. Had to wait a week to get the head back which gave me plenty of time to clean the block mating surface and clean up all the carbon build up on the piston heads. Didnt get pics but it was damn cool to see the honing marks on the piston walls from when it was put together. While I waited, I also cleaned up the valve cover, intake, and exhaust manifolds.
Also went to a local antique type store and had to take some pics of the neon signs since im a huge sucker for them.
They also had these unopened quarts of oil which was rad.
Head back with new seals and resurf.
As simple as torquing is, I was pretty damn nervous to get the order/procedure down.
threw it all back together the next day.
Super happy I went silver and not black. Its not perfect but it works and is much better than what it was. After I threw it all back together, I found out that I missed an o-ring on the cam seal housing. Had to pull the cam gear and so on back off to get to the o-ring and replace it. Broke the one that came with the kit which led me on a hunt from parts stores to home improvement stores to find an o-ring that fit semi correctly but I finally found one. Also broke the radiator drain cock that night which led to me pulling the radiator again and replacing that too. But things happen and I expected some hickups. Seems to be holding up fine now and we are ready for out trip to leavenworth next week.

Took some photos in the rain that we were having. Photobucket raped the quality though
Finally finished my center cap project.
Ordered 4 new 70mm BMW logos. quality is great and the sticky back worked awesome. Didnt think they would be that strong.
Also needed to ditch my used billys for some new sports. Much better.
Obviously needed to clean the blown out dirt and grime, as well as fluid, from the collars.
anddddd caps on and billys in.
