Tried the Airtex in tank pump, but the hard fuel lines that come out the top of it hit the stock sending unit, which doesn't allow the sending unit to seal completely, so now if I fill up all the way gas spews out of the top of the fuel pump.
Damn dude. I have yet to have an issue with my vega pump. Not sure if its different for a 6 series, or even a m30 vs m20, but it hasnt died on me like it did before since i replaced it.

Fixed my coolant leak and gave her a bath. Literally such a small gasket. Leaked on my old car and realized these two pictures may have been taken fixing the same issue. some things never change.

What's the story with the Chevy Vega in-tank pump? I've never heard of that upgrade.

More maintenance. Car has leaked powersteering fluid the whole time I had it. Thought it was the washer on the high pressure fitting end that goes into the pump. Ended up being the feed hose from the resevoir the whole time... So a year of powersteering fluid being thrown under my car for two old hose clamps. Damn. Oh well its fixed. Cleaned the shit out of it from what I could get to with the pump in and threw a half inch smaller bent on it so it wasnt sitting at the farthest position on the adjuster.
since I was on a fixing spree, I figured Id try to fix my exhaust leak. It was leaking at the collector after the manifold so I thought. I had ordered gaskets to do it ages ago. Got two sizes. Couldnt find one of them so after I got the exhaust off the manifolds, I took the gaskets and ran to two parts stores to see if I could match one up. Guess no one has sizes even close. So I was able to salvage one. The one that I had was to small. ended up finding the lost one. it was the right size. threw it on stoked as fuck to fix it. Started the car and it was leaking still... come to find out I must have some crack at the seam of the collector... oh well. maybe when I come across a welder, ill weld it on the joint and call it good. the leak isnt HORRIBLE anyway. just a bummer. At least all my collector nuts and studs didnt break taking them off.
Also noticed recently that my car and bike are unintentionally matched. The bike has been painted with tans for a while now. didnt think one day i would "accidentally" match the two....
Next week the coolant leak that I found on the throttle body is getting fixed as well.
