Well after two cars. One I loved but was just to far gone for the time I had to put in it. And then buying and selling a BMW E30 325, I have finally settled on a car I can probably like for awhile.

So without further ado, another fine Mercedes.

1987 Mercedes 420SEL. An S-Class

So shes a bit rough, but it does fire up if i dump gas down the intake.

The day I loader her up on my trailer and hauled her home.

Specs: 181K miles, 4.2 V8, RWD.

$$$: 700

So it needs some work? the body is fairly straight and only has one rust spot. More on that later.

Needs some new leather





First pass with the buffer after washing it. I bought some Meguiars Cutting compound and will try that to get the paint really nicely cleaned up.

Also put in a fuel pump. one of Two. Its running now but has a bad miss. I pulled the plugs and they are horrible. The cap and rotor is toast as well, so I ordered new ones. It has pretty stale gas. maybe i should drain that and dump it in my Diesel truck a little at a time. May need another fuel pump as well. Probably needs a fuel filter.

Then I'll change out the oil for some nice synthetic stuff.

Future plans:
Cut the springs
Find some wheels and Tires. Maybe some mono-blocks.
Cover all the chrome except the grill.
Repaint bumpers and molding
Repair Leather and dash

nah man! dont do bumpers and mono-color! Keep it two-tone, with the US-bumpers, drop it down to the ground and just put some proper wheels under it...

Lol, they should be cheap. But apparently people on eBay and the forums think Euro headlights are worth hundreds.
