I picked up a 1969 250 w114 a few months back. The body is in similar condition, so I'm hoping you'll provide me with some inspiration to get started on my restoration!!
By the way if you're rear quarter panels are rusted thru there is a company out there that makes replacements for pretty cheap. HERE

Well, i've been pocking around more and more. i keep finding more and more rust. i think the car is beyond repair. I'm pretty sad. but it is more work then I have time for.
I think I'll part out the good parts. I just would like to find one that is more solid.
PM me if anyone needs stuff. I have good tail lights, headlights, interior, and rust free front fenders.

Well, this rusted out pile of crap is still in my garage. Which is good because after looking at lots of stanced W115's, I've come to the conclusion I should bring it back.
This weekend I started grinding off all the undercoating from the fender wells. So nasty, I was blowing that crap out of my nose for days. Then I took some paint stripper to get the rest softened up and sprayed it all over the front.
Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures because there wasn't much to show. Just lots of rusted out holes.
If I am successful at getting anything back for my tax returns, I'm paying off my Range Rover and then taking that money and putting it towards this pig.
I need to buy a V8, Transmission and TIG welder for this car. hmmm.
Anyway since you and I all like pictures. I took a break Saturday to bounc the Range Rover off the redline, rescue stranded stuck Jeeps and break trail.
None of these are my pictures. I'm too lazy to get out all the time and take pictures.
Said Jeep I extracted. Dude spent the night on the Mountain. Completely stuck down at the bottom of the hill. I winched him up a ways. That was slow going, So I decided a bit of skinny pedal and a tow strap would make it faster. I had him up the hill (he was 200 feet down) in about 10 minutes.
