As usual progress has been slow. Our little shop has been BUSY, which is awesome, but unfortunately that means I don't have to much energy to work on my own projects.
I have made a little headway and here it is.
Since the car is apart I am taking the opportunity to perform some maintenance in addition to the upgrades.
I had a microscopic valve cover leak that started just before I took the car off the road so that was addressed. I also installed a fresh set of NGK's that will work better with my supercharger.
All buttoned up, looking sexified and another small item off the list.

A large portion of the superchargers weight hangs off the oil filter housing bracket. This is a super common please for these engines to leak so I went ahead and replaced it now. I am a big fan of doing things once. Plus the idea of taking everything apart a few months from now when/ if it started leaking didn't excite me at all.
Pulled everything!
Cleaned everything, then cleaned a little more, and then wrapped everything up with a little more cleaning, haha.
On a more serious note I have found though out all my projects that super powerful dish soap works best when cleaning aluminum parts. And its safe for things like alternators, etc.
New gaskets and everything torqued to spec.

Next was a little love for the cooling system. More power equals more heat. Plus as I mentioned before I live in Scottsdale, AZ. With summer lows in high 90's and temps during the day around 120 degrees this is arguably the most important part of the build.
I love these EMP Stewart pumps. Awesome design and super beefy. I have one in my wife's sedan and have used them in a ton of customer cars.
Next is the serpentine belt system. The RMS kit is pretty cool. Unlike my Dinan stage 1 kit, this uses a 2 piece crank pulley. Basically this allows the lower pulley to easily be swapped out for different sizes, i.e. larger ones, without having to take the entire serp. belt drive system apart.
Yes, I know that you can decrease the pulley size on the supercharger and have the same effect BUT by doing so you decrease the amount of area the serpentine belt makes with the pulley and greatly increases the chances of belt slippage.
Out with the old stuff.
First section of the new RMS crank pulley installed. Torqued to spec w/ a little lock tight for good measure.
This is the pulley that spins the supercharger. This 6" pulley is the standard size that comes with the stage 2 kit.
Crank pulley assembly installed. Not totally feeling the polished stainless bolts but I decided to give them I try for now.
Cleaned the power steering pump and alternator and put everything back together.

Oil filter housing gasket replaced, new water pump, new crank pulley installed and everything has been cleaned. Now I can install the actual supercharger brackets.
A few helpful words if you haven't ever put a supercharger on a S52 or any M or S engine in an E36......
YOU CANNOT REMOVE THE MAIN SERPENTINE BELT OR THE TENSIONERS ONCE THE SUPERCHARGER BRACKET AND SUPERCHARGER ARE INSTALLED!!!
Tensioners and serp. belts are cheap compared to the time it will take to take everything apart and replace either of the mentioned items. ALWAYS replace both tensioner pulleys and serp. belts before bracket installation. This concludes my E36 PSA, haha.
anyways.... New contitech belts and new tensioners installed followed by the actual supercharger bracket assembly.
(this pic shows the supercharger bracket, crank pulley and related hardware)
Everything installed
(like the crank pulley bolts, I am not sure about the few polished stainless bolts on the S/C brackets but we'll see)
