I felt a little ghetto having to use my key to lock/ unlock my car especially when there was a plug and play factory system out there, haha. I love the old school chirp of the factory alarm too. And I am a huge fan of the factory upgrades/ options so I had to go with an OEM alarm. Found a guy on ebay that sells everything as a complete kit including a copy of the factory installation instructions. Here's a few pics of the install.
Everything I needed! Alarm Module, Wire Harness, Key Fob, Alarm Horn & Bracket and Instructions
Great time to replace your cabin filter if you haven't done it already. Mine had never been replaced and it was nasty!
Marking out where to cut away the factory sound deadener and drill a hole for the glass break microphone
Sound deadener removed and hole drilled.
Since this lower kick cover is really just made out of super think cardboard I took a sharpy and colored in the edge of the circle I cut black so it looked like it had always been there. Not sure it would have even been seen, but the devil is in the details right?!?
Alarm control module installed
A quick reprogram of the module to the fob and everything worked perfectly!!!

Had a LITTLE time to work on the M3. Mostly unpacked all my parts I have been acquiring over the last few months. Got everything organized and laid out. I did have enough time to strip down the engine. Removed the intake, intake manifold and everything related, valve cover (had a small valve cover leak) and entire cooling system. Now that it's stripped down I can mock up everything and get an idea of how I want to lay everything out and what custom touches I am going to add.
Anyways here are a few pics of the tear down.

It just accrued to me that I covered the "Wide Mitos" reference in my threat little, but not "Ferrari BBK" or "RMS Stage 2"
Anyways..... here are a few teasers to hold everyone over until I get more time to work on the car and go over the build in more detail.
-RMS Stage 2 Super Changer Kit-
what you're looking at is basically a stock RMS stage 2 kit. Vortech V2 S/C, air to water intercooler, heat exchanger, 36lbs injectors, wiring for the electric water pump and all tubes, hoses, brackets, hardware, etc. I have a bunch of mods in store before install, but more on that when installation starts!
-I picked up a set of Super Sprint Headers to help move that exhaust!-
Of course the car will get an M50 intake manifold. I installed this same manifold on my wife's M3 sedan shortly after her supercharger install. Was happy with the results so it had to go on my convertible.
-M50 manifold-
Last but not least is the Ferrari BBK. Now I must say that the Brembo Grand Torismo kit that is on wifey's M3 sedan is amazing! Nothing else I can really say. But they aren't very rare and we've all seen them before. Anyone with some room on there amex can order up the kit. I wanted to put something together that I hadn't seen before. One of the reasons I built my front wheels with such a high ET was to leave pretty of room for something crazy in the brake department. As I start mocking everything up, fabbing brackets, etc I will post a detailed pics.

I forgot the most important group of parts. Especially for me since I live in Arizona. The cooling system!
It's all pretty standard bolt on stuff. Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator, Samco Upper & Lower Radiator Hose kit, Spal Electric Fan Conversion w/ spal wiring harness, Low Temp. Thermostat & Fan Switch and the heart of the entire system the EMP Stewart High Flow Water Pump (the best money you will ever spend if you own an E36!). 20% flow increase, stainless steel impeller, heavy duty bearing, this this is a beast. I have the same W/P in the sedan. I already had installed the OBD1 aluminum thermostat housing as soon as I purchased that car. And to top it all off the European Radiator Cover. Granted, it doesn't do anything, but it just looks so clean and with the Super Charger in place I wont be able to use the factory alternator cooling duct anyways.

I still had the matter of what tune to run on the car. I called a few different places but I ended up going with a custom tune from RMS. One of the main reasons I went with RMS was because they sent me a tool that allowed me to up and download my own tune right in my shop. I also I am able to save my NA tune in case I ever removed the forced induction setup. With future upgrades on the car I can just email them my tune, have them make the needed changes and then load the new tune back on my ECU.
I figured since I was spending the cash on a custom tune I might as well use the opportunity to make a few more upgrades. I swapped out the standard 36lbs injectors that came with the stage 2 kit for a set of matched 42lbs injectors. The 36lbs injectors work amazing on my wife's stage 1 set up and would also work well with my stage 2 but would be at there limit. The RMS kit uses a replaceable lower supercharger pulley so I figured a larger pulley could be in the future. In addition to the injectors I upgrade to an 803 MAF to help with air flow into the supercharger.
Lastly, since i am not using the stock location for the bypass valve I picked up a new intake tube without any holes in it so I can make my own in the location I need.
