We have done quite a bit of work to her. The big stuff includes H&R coilovers, Camber Plates, Dinan sway bars, Brembo BBK, 18" ACS type 2 wheels, Dinan stage1 Supercharger and Active Autowerks Exhuast (Sections A,B & C)
She bought her M3 about 4 years ago. It's still her daily and just hit 100K a few days ago.

So the new front 18x10" front wheels are built. Time for a test fit. I quickly realized that I was going to have to contend with a few issues. The first was the actual sheer width of the wheel. Luckily I had already been turned onto willtheyfit.com. After a little math I figured out what ET I needed to get everything to fit. I wanted minimal poke but with a 10" wide wheel inner strut clearance was a factor.
Since I had built the wheels with a 2" lip and 8" barrel and only an 11mm drop with the faces saying I had a high ET was an understatement. After measuring everything out my front wheels were ET60! Lucky for me H&R had just what I needed. The DRA series was extra thick and extra strong. I lucked out and there was a set in stock and just like that they were headed my way.
Talk about a perfect fit!!!

The second issue was what tire size tire to go with. I wanted to be as low as possible, lots of stretch and hopefully still be able to turn a little. I went back to Wheel Specialist and talked with a few of the guys there and came up with a plan. I also spent a decent amount of time on tyrestretch.com. Since my Dunlop 225/40's that I had on my 8" wide setup had ton of tread we decided to start by stretching that heck out them and seeing how they fit on the 10" setup.
As soon as we seated the first bead I knew I had hit the jackpot. It was the exact look I was going for. We followed that up with a road force balance. Everything balanced up perfectly, very little weight needed, and both wheels were straight as an arrow. Couldn't ask for much more then that.
Now the true test........ Will this set up actually fit? Am I going to be able to prove the "experts" wrong? And how will it look?...... All I can say is that when I lowered the lift for the first time my jaw dropped along with it.
And the perfect amount of poke (or lack there of depending on what you like, haha)

The rear was much easier. I had previously ran a 255/35/r18 on the 10.5" wide wheel. But after spacing the rear out 15mm to match the fitment of the front I realized that it was just to much tire. Also, even know the 255/35 was decently stretched, the rear didn't match the look of the front. Since the rear wheel was wider I went with a 235/40/r18. I ordered up a pair of matching Dunlop DZ101's and few days later I was back at wheel specialist getting the new rubber mounted and balanced up.
....... and here is how it turned out.
