I think an option would be to take a grille from a Russian Volga. Looks like this:

I just LOL'ed in my office when I read it. Anybody who has owned a janky old car can identify with this. Classic.

I like the grilles from the ones a few years earlier... It looks way better. I might convert back a few years because it just looks so much better... Also, I'm thinking about doing the wheels in red... And I have rusty hubcaps I can put on top... Thoughts?

The teardrop shape of the fenders makes the wheels look a bit small (not that you should put larger wheels on). I reckon paint the wheels in a cream colour, rather than red.

i think i need to upgrade to 14" wheels anyways, the 13" tires are incredibly hard to find to begin with.. its gonna be hard finding 14" steelies in a good width....

things at my store have been slow, so i havent had time to work on the car, however, i replaced the fuel pump... in literally 20 minutes.

i also threw in a mexican blanket.. as the interior, for now.

the engine is completely done, outside of a water-coolant flush which is gonna be happening soon, seeing as how autozone was kind of enough to bless me with 20 dollars of store credit after 100+ dollars in purchases...

i might end up just getting a new heater core since winter is here.. and re doing my heating system...

okay guys, weekly update. i fixed the ignition problem, and now olivia starts with a key on the first try every time!!, the next step is the door keys. after i replaced the switch i found out that the gas gauge and the heater work (i need to patch up the hosing that goes the heater outlets)

i have a 20 dollar credit for autozone, im thinking 3" lowering blocks in the back, and removing the trailer hitch, the back leaf spring brace, and 2 (extra) leaf springs.

next week will include cutting the front springs (hopefully), and making this bitch be dumped.

as far as the sound system goes, ive acquired the head unit (an alpine unit i had in my mercedes before she died, and some alpine speakers i bought for 30-40ish bucks)...

i also found a good wiring diagram i can use to re-wire the car to where i have the lights i need.

also within my salvaged parts, i found a rear view mirror, a spot light, and a bright yellow fog light i can mount into the bumper (its from the 40's and its a 6v), but i can find a 12v replace yellow bulb, that i can replace it with...

                            MAJOR PROBLEMS THAT REMAIN:
                            The wipers
The Tail lights (brake lights/license plate light)
lack of an air filter + PCV valve intakes into the air filters
Sound System (aint no point in cruisin without musics)
Lack of low (that shits coming soon too)

picked up these guys today... dropping the back by 3 inches, looks like she's gonna be a tail dragger for at least a month maybe more.... ive been slowly working on the car daily, its getting colder, so she tends to die if i start her and try to take off immediately... or i need to do more adjusting.. she also dies every once in a while cause her clutch is a real mother fucker.

i really want this to work, we'll see what happens.

also need more suggestions for wheel colors, as thats also going to happen this week too.

also, some where along the lines, the turn signals and brake lights fixed themselves. dont know how, dont really care how, but they work now, so im happy.
