Do you need to flip the axle or are the leaf springs already underneath versus on top?

heres the mach-up at a 3" drop, everything wasnt fastened down yet, it needs to have the u-bolt plates slightly widened so i can fit the new wider reaching u-bolts, and then the shock was fully extended so it didnt get the chance to settle yet either...
this is compared to the other picture at stock height...
decent amount lower.. not as low as i would like it to be, but i cant source 4" lowering blocks locally, so thats off the table for right now...
i ran out of sun light and had to stop, so i'll finish this side tomorrow if i can find my fucking drill (which magically disappeared after i misplaced it), so i can widen up the holes, then once it settles in, it should look like a tail dragger.
ALSO: i can switch tires to a smaller height tire, and that should give me another -1.5 inches in height...Last edited by fromthelbc; 11-06-2013, 07:34 PM.1999 Slammed W202 - RIP

update: the rear shocks dont extend out to the angle and how low the plates sit for the, so the back is gonna be run with no shocks... its still not sitting low enough for me yet, so i might just pull everything off and take off a leaf or two as well. but that may be down the line.
heres how she sits, almost done as far as im concerned with the back end of it, i need to torque down 4 more nuts, and it'll be done for now.
theres also enough space to push for 5" blocks if i really wanted to... but i dont think thats necessary, i think i can accomplish what i want with removing a leaf spring...

Rear height looks righteous though.
