I've damaged my first sump, oil dripping from a small bash near the sump plug. Oh well, I'll just keep topping it up for now. I'm picking up another whole diesel engine for $80 and I've got the ridiculous idea in my head to make it look really old, like dark green block and head with brass fittings and polished/brass(whatever) fuel rails etc. lets see where this idea takes me!

I will when I get longer wheel bolts, they should be on by the end of the month. I'll throw these white lettering tyres on them and see how it looks when I get the bolts, gotta be better than these grey wheels

So my car got defected today to you non-Aussies, basically the police think my car is unroadworthy due to the "eyebrow height" (distance between the top of the wheel arch to the centre of the wheel) being too low. The Golf will need to be sent to a vehicle inspection station and here in South Australia that means the infamous evil Regency Park, the place modified cars go and are never let on the road again, so there's a 95% chance this is the end of the road for the poor ol girl.

Fuck I **** Australian modification rules.
