Coils are illegal and don't fit properly plus are only in the front as the rears didn't fit (fucking veedubmachine) so are chopped springs but have standard rear springs at home and will buy some standard fronts. Will need to buy a bush kit, get my exhaust welded, new sump, give the engine a tidy, spray under the car with lots of black, fix my fuel tank, and a new brake master cylinder. Not heaps of things but it can fail on anything. Hopefully my floor pan isn't too damaged.

Rust is only surface on the front quarters, the rear hatch isn't rusty that's just paint missing

It will get double defected if it doesn't pass which is the worst thing that could happen. I'll be spending as much as possible to get it passed. My checklist so far:
REGENCY CHECKLIST
Brake discs (mine are grooved as shit)
Brake master cylinder (blown seal inside, may just need a seal kit)
Exhaust (redone or re welded)
Sump (buying a whole spare engine so will get it off that, mine's bashed flat #loweredlife)
Front suspension (new springs and struts)
Rear suspension (sorted)
Bushes (eBay)
Windscreen (mine has a tiny chip in it, might ring O'Brians and get that stuff injected in it)

I lol'd.

So my car got defected today to you non-Aussies, basically the police think my car is unroadworthy due to the "eyebrow height" (distance between the top of the wheel arch to the centre of the wheel) being too low. The Golf will need to be sent to a vehicle inspection station and here in South Australia that means the infamous evil Regency Park, the place modified cars go and are never let on the road again, so there's a 95% chance this is the end of the road for the poor ol girl.

Fuck I **** Australian modification rules.

Probably sweet, my mate turbo'd his and he's got heaps of rare Jap options. Heaps quick and looks cool as. Still stock height on 15s though and I can't talk him into coils haha
