It has been discussed, but we arent going to do it. The odyvia front end requires a big bulky front bar and guards, and if we were to use the spirit kit, id have to cut a good 6 inches off the bottom of the bar. Remember, the fitment on the front will be tight with 16"s.... the cars running the spirit kits run 18"+. This car will sit much lower then a lot of other silvias.Originally posted by .Inc View Postput the oddessy headlights on,, to top off the honda power...
Not nerve racking when you've done similar stuff beforeOriginally posted by MommysLittleMonster View PostThat tub work must have been a little nerve-racking.
Thanks dude. hours can pass playing with metal haha.Originally posted by SheaMoose View PostI remember seeing this on SpeedHunters, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I showed it to some of my s-chassis friends and got the expected Nissan purist response.
I was going to put an F20 in my 86 but the timing isn't right, so 20v it is..
And Oxer, I'm with you on hammer and dolley work, It's truly metalworker's therapy.

Havent made much progress lately...

Now to make the inner skitrs. The factory ones I cut out as you will see in the following pic arent straight, its a bit of a pain in the ass to fold and bend sheet to make them suit the factory piece with my limited tools.

To make it easier I made up a tube section which I will also use to reinforce the mount for the removable radiator support.

Lots of grinding to make it silky smooth

Then to start making the rad support mount...

And since toli's rear bar add-on came in, he wanted to mock it all up. Close to how it will sit, only instead of my 17" M7's, he'll run his 16" M7's. Pics for the stance kids lol.

I was trying yo convince Toli to let me give the car an intense flame job, but he is extremely far from convinced.

I am keen to see this in the flesh that is all. Can't wait!Originally posted by Oxer View Postyou'll be waiting for a while haha. Im aiming to have the metal work all done within the next 3 weeks. Not going to do too much filler work in the bay since it will go through a lot of stress and after all it is a race car. I think once the bay is painted and the engine is built it will go back in before we prep and paint the rest of the car...
You can help when you come down in a few weeks
jk, we have notching to do.
Yes, yes we do have notching to do. We shall discuss. I'll give you a call some time this weekend.
