    Hello there.
Thanks. I think you will be seeing a more lot of it, once I am finished, for now, with my daily build, which has seen A LOT of work, through this year.
If you havent seen that build thread, I suggest you do. It is interesting I might say

    Cheers

    Mike

Keep up the good work mate!
Well, a thank you for your good words, is not enough, but I really appreciate it.

I will try to not let you down

So, in between of the BT engine build happening on the Daily, while waiting on the last big parts to complete it,
we found some time to sneak in some work on the Audi as well.

    Sourced some material

    Good old aluminium I love

    Took some measurements

    And did some test fitting

    Tom did some work

While I took some photos I guess

Then we agreed we needed a lathe, which we dont own yet

    More drilling

And this is what we have done for now on both sides

A LOT more material will be removed in the final product. But we are slowly getting there. After the Daily things will move faster I guess.

Till then, summer vacation, with this piece of american history

You can also follow me on instagram, @mgpdoc

So let me show you some progress, rather significant for the future course of things to follow . . .

Had a go with these to make some more space for the engine to sit where we wish

Indeed more space was there, for the engine to move further backwards, allowing everything to sit even better

    Looking better already

Come on Tom, pull the engine inside will ya

    Great clearance for the transmission

In order for the engine to move further backwards we needed to remove the OEM transmission subframe

Let's do that - even without the engine crane available at the time

    Up she goes

    And down I go

Hold the rear of the transmission with this

    And this

    In order to remove this

    Bye bye for ever

Then it was time to remove these

And along with the front engine mount, put them for sale

Started taking measurements for the engine mounts we will fabricate

    Passenger side

Driver side - Removal or relocation of oil filter assembly and sensors

Sits very nicely and we are very optimistic

    Some random shots

    Cheers guys
