More progress
Found yet more tar- this was behind the wiring, and did not risk the heat gun back there at that time

However, no wiring now, means ability to remove it

My assistants wanted more progress

Work more they said

So I did
Before

After

Tidy

Then, ABS/ESP Tab had to go home

During

After

Then, our cars, are full of these little things

I personally ***** those. For two reasons.
1. I have bled so many times because of them , I have lost count
2. They dont accept a normal bolt thread, only some with effort.
So bye bye

Removed about 20 or more of those from the engine bay alone

They will be shaved smooth
Then, having the spot welder drill in hand, I thought I'd remove some more weight, not needed weight that I carried with me for no reason all this time. Oh well, seems like there is ALWAYS more weight to be removed.

Then this

This will have to go too

As well as this

Not an easy task, but it is a pleasure to see all these heavy pieces of metal come out of the car. Interesting to weigh them all together
Next time, I will do the passenger side ones

As well as these little ones which are surely heavy, given they were for the seatbelts

I think I can have a beer for now, and do more tomorrow

Cheers everyone

So, got some more ammo

And got to work on the passenger side too

Requires dedication- look at the number of holes for such a small piece

However in the end, it is well worth it

And I might have some new orders too . . . it's christmas after all . . .

But this is not all . . . more to come on the next update
Cheers, and Merry Christmas to all

Hello everyone and Happy New Year.
Had some news for you, but didnt have the time due to work to upload the progress
So . . . first things first . . .
Started with this

Removed this

Leaving me with this

Where some serious work will take place. Can you guess what it is about ?
More on that on the next update.
Meanwhile . . . I think I might have ordered something new . . . something not cheap . . . something like . . . this . . .

Picture is just for reference, I am talking about a brand new part, straight from Toyota Dealership.
I guess Santa will come full handed, wont he . . .
More to come . . . Cheers . . .

Had some really good progress with the Wheel Well, but decided to stop here

Removed this STERN transmission mount, which will propably go for sale with the whole STERN engine mount kit

Reason for the removal was to do something a bit more interesting.
Tom asked me to stop drilling and cutting and go help him . . . hehe

Time to meet each other for good

Gear shifter removed

Lets go inside

Water pipe needs to be removed

Me Likey

Let's throw the head on

I think this is what one can call WiN.

Engine will go further back

Once some more metal is removed

Exhaust side for now

I knew I had picked the right Oil pan for my car

Steering rack is going nowhere it seems . . .

2JZ temporarily in place for some nights

Parked in place

Best food table of the night

Cheers, more to come

Got me some more parts then.

Second Aeromotive Fuel Filter

Aeromotive Replacement Filter for my other Filter housing

Because it was not that clean after its current mileage

And a second "044" Bosch Pump

I think two of those, one out of each side of the Fuel Tank, will do

Then, I did yet MORE work in the trunk area

I said that tonight was the night - And it was

Bye Bye Wheel Well.

Well Worth the Effort

The bent part in the middle will also say goodbye to the car, no need for it to be there when the cage comes in

Any guesses to the weight of the wheel-well and the holes i had to drill for the spot-welds ? Hehe
Stay tuned for more.
Cheers
