So I added a little more protection to the car, much needed if you ask me in the fresh paint

So, managed to do some more things today at the car, after work. Not much, but every little bit helps I guess.

Cleaned the GREDDY ecus nicely



I then started working on the OEM loom. Tom had asked me to remove the oem fabric tape, to reveal the wiring in its whole so as to know what will be removed and what not .



Really time - consuming, but has to be done.

More wires revealed and started to see whole picture here.
Wiring for doors will stay, and for the tailights as well. Other than that, no wiring for the rear trunk lock, no fuel tank door, no antenna, no oem fuel wiring, and so on.

So here's a heads-up, in case, any of you guys can help me a bit.

I am in the look-out for a Supra MK4 (JZA80) Turbo, 6-speed, rear diff.

Looks like this one in the pictures.

And these wings for cooling



Cant confuse it with any other of the Supra ones, they are all smaller, and have equal arms.

So if anyone, feel free to point one out for me.

So. . . Had some time off work today and thought I'd put some more time in my project

First I went shopping for some essentials.



Despite the fact that we do not own a shop, just our garages, we need some serious equipment. Both in functional terms, but also in safety terms. That said, I went ahead, and over-did it a bit, and took these jack stands for the Audi

Not one



Not two



But Four of these



Great quality - the best model available, so that should do the work







Also bought some other stuff for the engine crane





Then Audi needed some air



Next to its little brother



I also made a new friend



Very sleepy



But was always willing to give a hand



I then turned my attention to the passenger side wiring



Again opened everything from the cover tape



And then moved to the back

I am thinking of selling this just because I wont be using the APEX-i AVCR anymore, so I dont need the custom gauge pod



And this is the wiring that goes to the amplifier at the back, and will be most likely the first handful of wires to come out of the car - like that a lot

Managed to do A LOT of work wiring-wise.

And after the removal of all the wires going at the back, except from the ones going to the tailights



More cleaning will happen as we move along

ABS/ESP wiring, Fan assembly wiring, Headlights, Horn, External Temp etc etc



Bye bye ESP/ABS Harness .





All this loom has to be removed. It goes behind the front fender, and into the cabin, through here



Out came the Keskin wheel



Easy access now

And then another one



Pile was getting bigger and bigger





Cant wait to weight all the wiring removed when done

Our assistant was watching the whole process



Airbag G-Sensor Harness removed



Then Tom decided we had enough of picking out each and every wire separately. So he hugged the loom good-bye once and for all



Pretty impressive, eh ?





Anybody want to take a guess at the weight of that pile before I give the number away ?

Our assistant got bored of wires, so he grabbed a snack instead
