I think the proper term for this is "batshit insane" and I totally love it. Cannot wait to see it complete, best of luck with the build.

Built for the gas tank as well as the panel for the filter and pump.

Mocked up and built the oil tank. It is constructed out of .063" Stainless for ease of fabrication. Cone is hand formed and 8" cylinder is slip rolled

The 1/2" NPT inlet bungs will be turned and welded in. both inlet and outlet will be -10 AN braided hose.

    Made blanks for the headlights

    Built the steering tube

Clearanced the body for the massive 6" exhaust.

Oh yeah cut off the windshield too!

Made 1" recessed floor pans to drop and mount the seats

Got all the steering parts in...Wow thats a tight fit

Sweet Woodward .5625" 36 spline u joint for the weird spitfire steering rack

Modeled the diesel pump and filter

Test fit the 22 gal tank

Overall shot of the cockpit. We ended up getting a certified 4 point, so we can upgrade to 8 or 12 point later on

With midnight blue paint and the Aerobar we will use(on order). For reference, the compomotives on the model are 13"s with the profile tire we ordered(hoosier slicks)

Thanks guys! We are really considering a phase 2 of the project, where we build a transmission and a competitive brake, wheel and suspension system. With a digital control system, there is a lot we can learn about turbine vehicle dynamics.

I am using those to check clearance for the exhaust. Those are for my TR7. The powder coated 13"s are what we're using.
