The door handles look like they came off a 90's Mexi-riced civic. Then again, that's what the whole car seems like.

But hey, if you like it.

I was reading this thread thinking to myself "this looks really familiar", but I couldn't put my finger on it. Finally I got to page 3 and saw that last pic and realised I featured it on my site in 2010! http://www.build-threads.com/build-threads/projekte-36/

Great to hear that you're still moving forward with it, Andrew, keep it up, can't wait to see more!

To keep this alive and kicking a sort of a round up update over the last couple months from taken from my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Projekte36

I **** out sourcing work on my car to others because it takes the times scales completely out of my control! And for this reason 4 months down the road I'm still 'hub less', the Engineers are taking there sweet time making my new hubs for the centre locks :-(

I popped in 3 or so weeks ago and all 4 hubs were roughed out, I did get a couple quick pictures of the rears though... I'm not goner give a run down of my design of the hubs so just look at the pretty pictures LOL. I'm still excited and abit nervous to see if what I've designed works!

Next on the big parts shopping list is the dry sump for the s62! I could of gone to VAC Motorsports or similar but while trawling the web I found a company in the UK that'll make me one from billet aluminum :-D so the raw material order was placed and sent directly to them for start work. Currently he's making a wax version and programming the CNC so can crack on with the finished article from ally very soon!!

Its going to be 40mm deep!! So that means I'll be able to mount the engine nice a low and as far back as possible! He's only sent me a couple pictures so far but its exciting stuff!

And finally to keep myself from going mad I've of course been buying tools but a side from that I've been doing not so exciting stuff to the interior, like gapping various parts of the sterieo install and adding some stainless steel accent trims to break up the big areas of nothing on the side panels.

Hopefully the next update will be much more interesting!!

I don't like the E46 front end, rear bench and air tanks but everything else!

                  Sub'd!

man you really ruined this car should have either left this one with the original front/door handles or got an e46...

It was really looking like it was going in the right direction too... Guess I should give kudos for all the work you have done though

                          I don't want an e46 though

CandySucker, thats the second time you've expressed how much you dislike this mans pride and joy. I suggest you stop sharing your thoughts in here and considering your contribution to this forum is little more the 45 posts of your views and opinions, you have no room to talk.

OP, I love what you are doind, that being building a car the way that you want and in such detail. Your fabrication skills are impressive considering most people pay others to do the things you are doing. Good too see a fellow fabricator working towards their goal.
