Bro your car is amazing. Im always on it constantly looking for updates
EDIT:
heres what i bought. Monroe front shocks from a 1970 dodge challenger
This is a side by side comparison with a bilstein sport shock off the front of a w210
Here is the monroe shock mounted on a w210 sedan rear lower control arm w/o SLS
As you can see theres some space between the mount. Can anyone help to solve this space between shock mount and Control arm issue? i was thinking washers.Last edited by Junya; 04-22-2013, 10:40 PM.

I almost forgot that the rear springs off wagons are SLS springs so they have a softer spring rate. So im going to order some aftermarket Eibach springs all around so the Monroe shocks wont bottom out and to balance out the ride on the wagon. (just for a good daily, those cut H&R springs were a bouncy nightmare)

ill head to home depot tomorrow and stock up on some washers. thanks
You got it man. I ordered some Eibach springs just for a good "daily low" so they should be coming in by next week only because i dont want rear spring sag because of the SLS springs. Once i save up for some serious management (or someone buy my alphards) then ill get the air ride project going again
So after being static for a very very long time. I decided to bag it. Gonna try to replicate the setup you described. and the one you plan to run as well. although air lift told me that the sleeve bags are good for 750lbs curb weight of my car is 3315. fully loaded fluids etc. cutting it real close but i hope to achieve sucess. will keep you updated. or keep an eye on my build thread.

Youre lucky because you have your trunk to fit all the components where im trying to fit all the air ride parts in the spare tire area so space is totally an issue

UPDATE!
Front susp. refreshed:
-New LBJs
-New Tie rod ends
-New control arm bushings
-New sway bar endlinks
-Eibach Springs
Rear susp. updated:
-New sway bar endlinks
-1970 Dodge Challenger shocks (fail)
-Sedan Rear Control arms
-Eibach springs
OVERALL! the rear sits 2 inches lower than the front because of the shorter shock. Next in line is 95 ford ranger shocks. Wish me luck

alright guy you got it!
these are the only pics at the moment. ill get some better ones later and here is the new rear setup:
- 2000 e430 sedan rear lower control arms
- 2002 e430 sedan rear springs
- 1995 Ford Ranger Front Shocks 2wd 4cyl
or bilstein 4600 for ford ranger
Free Shipping - Bilstein B6 4600 Series Shocks and Struts with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Shocks and Struts at Summit Racing.
this is the current ride height. as you can tell from the stock images in the first page, the rear now sits a little lower than stock. To balance out the front ride height i kept the eibach springs and the bilstein HD shocks.
Now the power steering lines connected to the SLS rear shocks will need to be re-routed or completely removed. I chose the lazier route and capped off the accumulators with a large bolt (from my bucket of bolts so i dont know what size sorry) and re-routed the lines connected to the hydraulic shock.
the lines that were routed to the rear hydraulic shock were re routed to itself so it is in a continuous loop. kinda like this picture but mine looks a little different:
overall the car does ride a WHOLE LOT smoother than with the rear hydraulic shocks only because the accumulators were shot (even after a hydrualic/ps fluid flush it rode like dirt.) Obviously putting more weight in the rear now causes it to sag like a normal vehicle but thats alright with me.
next step is still going air ride but with no job and no funds will be sort of difficult but you know what they say: "when theres a will theres a way"Last edited by Junya; 08-11-2013, 07:43 PM.
