just because i gave it to my dad doesnt mean ive given up!
- fixed the rear noise. turns out it was just a loose shock
- 17x7.5 5x112 +38 OZ superturismo (winter rims)
- sold every single air ride piece. funding my current J30t
crappy iphone pics (too cold outside):
Needs low, but my dad uses it for daily purposes. enjoy!
its a pretty good mod but i experience a knocking sound over little bumps or potholes. I think this happens because the stock spring "bottoms-up" the shock keeping the shock fully extended at all times in a fast snapping motion.
Deng. This build did a 180 haha, in4 bozo m30 build though. How did the ford ranger struts feel on the car? I just ordered a set of saab 900's for my w124 wagon but was considering going the ranger route.
Any updates on this? I can imagine the finished piece being absolute awesome! Is there any reason you didn't go with w210 sedan rear shocks to replace the SLS? I'm assuming you've gone Slam Specialities RE5's all round with standard front shocks? I've got a S210 in the UK, don't think anyones slammed one over here so i'm very seriously contemplating it after seeing this!
Keep up the good work man
this is good ! the bracket fab work should be super easy. all you need to do is get one of those fabricator bracket kits and youre set. any decent welder / fabricator should get it done. just make sure he plates off the lower control arm up front and rear. and you will have to notch out the rear spring cup for air line that or run the bag upside down and airline can be passed inside of the rear lower control arms. that is how it was done on my buddy's W203 wagon I didnt like that idea though.
Time for some upsetting news and potentially good news:
Bad:
-Sold the work euroline wheels (this is how they looked when i sold them)
-power steering line burst (thanks to my poor engineering haha)
Good:
-ordered new power steering pump/resovoir/lines from a sedan (its completely different)
-got some more parts in the mail Thanks to SD202 i had the urge to continue my project despite my lack of income
lol thanks BagRiders
I wanted to adjust each corner so i got the analog adjustment
and 5 yards of this stuff Thanks China haha
i just ordered 2 more Slam specialties Re-5 air bags for my fronts. All i have to wait for is for some more cash and someone to fab me up some brackets.
nothing new going on here. just hunting/gathering parts for the wagon. I was so tempted to trade it in for a 86' w201 cosworth but the guy is trying to flake. i cant have them all i guess.
anyhow i got a new set of rims. These are dirt cheap in japan so my buddy grabbed me a set. Im guna use wobbly wobble bolts for this one.
18x9/10 +38j all around. work euroline dz
and i got me some of these rear folding tables. hopefully they can bolt into the back of my seats. can you believe we live in such a world where we have this? its amazing
anyway thats all i got for now.
dude, I want all of this in or around my... car
all jokes aside, daaaaamn. let me know if you ever wanna get rid of any of these
