        • I spent the night attacking the hardest part of the firewall. I originally tried to make it out of one piece of steel but is didn't want to take the correct shape. I ended up making it out of 3-4 pieces and it actually flows great.

          • for anyone wondering... m20s are the way to go for a '02. I'm having a hard time finding a radiator small enough to fit in the nose of the car. I'm sure I can have one made but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions with who to go with for a custom radiator.

                  • Rhoderacers brother here, just watching quietly from a distance. But if your looking for a custom radiator get a Ron Davis. Great custom performance aluminum radiators, im getting one for my Land Cruiser.

Why not hunt down a Daihatsu Charade radiator?

                      Could opt for a 80-87 Charade G11 for a 1l engine one:

                      354(h)x328(w)32mm(t) 2 row

or why not hunt around for a 1993–2000 G200 Charade radiator? they're roughly same size.

I love lurking this thread for updates, but it's always nice to get bored and have another read through.

Keep the hard work up rhoderacer

                      • Can you not have your original rad rebuilt with a larger core?

I am sure I can fit 1 of these and possibly 2. I am afraid that one wont be enough to keep the motor cool.

I have looked into this and it is a possibility. I would have to mount it in my spare tire well and throw a few fans in the trunk to keep the air flowing.

I just sent him a email to see what he would suggest. Hopefully he can make something work.

Im looking into this. It seems like the hardest part is going to be finding one.

Next on the list is sealing up the top of the firewall. I'm looking forward to laying filler soon after I finish the tranny mounts
