  • Tonight I managed to pull out the tail lights and sand down the back of the car. I'm starting to see the hard work and time spent on boring bodywork paying off. I also layed some more filler to get this car smooth again. By the end of the week I hope to have the rear fenders complete and my other rear tire beaded.

    (Pic updated tomorrow.)

The car is going to be painted olive drab green (flat army green) with copper accents.

        • it's like all the '02 owners call each other and decide to post updates on the same day - don't lie, this is all a big scheme for all of us to get hyped when you type up any kind of updates. haha

Good work on body always pays off in the future, even if at first it's a b*tch to do.

Ahaha yea it seems that way hah. I think that there is just a bunch of 02s getting built right now. 2002s are starting to get popular on here now.

Thanks for the support, the wheels are fouble staggered because I have 15x8s in the front and 16x10s in the rear. Staggered = width 8,10 Double staggered= diameter 16, 15

I'm not to worried about damaging the arches, the coils are made for a 3500lb car and are now in a 2000lb car and they were already stiff in a 3500lb car.

                          • with the help of a palm sander, I managed to sand down the driver door, A, and C pillar on the driver side. I plan on laying down some more filler primer tomorrow night. hopefully I can get the other rear tire mounted and seated this weekend. it took 6-8 hours to seat the last one.
Also me and 4 friend are now going to be moving into a 1400 square foot garage in the coming weeks. So many projects, so little time before h2oi. I will upload pics of the garage this weekend.

                            • lets finish this thing. I managed to spend some time with my brother and a few friends. Friends and family make me realize why there is such a strong car community.

trying to make her smooth. the more sand down, the more I realize how many times this car was painted.

tomorrow should be fun. time to stretch the other rear. 205/40/16 on a 16/10. I'm going to try and use fire to seat it but may have to resort to bicycle inner tubes.

                              • Having a little bit of trouble finding a driver side strut assembly. I may just have to work with the one I have and weld a tab onto the strut top to have something to hit. Any other ideas?
