I agree that the box fenders look good but tonight I went with another design. also I am not a huge fan of fiberglass. although it is easy to work with, it doesn't seem to have the life expectancy of good 'ole steel.Originally posted by mtmorto View PostI agree that the box fenders were looking good. And I love the orange motor accents. Keep up the good work.
The engine bay is taking shape. Both sides of the bay are stripped to raw metal and tomorrow morning the factory mounting holes are getting welded shut. the m30 will get a few more fitment checks before I begin the firewall. Its looking like the motor is going to need to be pulled for regular maintenance, but I guess this car isn't being built for user friendliness and reliable

dropped in the m30 to make some motor mounts and firewall fab. I plan on having the tranny tunnel and firewall tacked in by the end of the week.

I ended up mounting it a little bit further forward than I originally planned. Now the oil pan sump sits in front of the subframe and slightly higher. There is about a half inch between the swaybar and the front of the motor. The steering assembly has plenty of room to move around and the hood is a half inch away from closing fully. I guess I'm going to have to cut a hole in the hood for the top of the intake manifold.Originally posted by parttimeprojectionist View Postim suprised at the amount of room you have actually. is everything (steering, etc) clearing along the underside as well?
