    • I'm loving the new garage and getting a lot of work done surprisingly. Since there is nothing besides our cars and tools, it hard to get distracted. I finally got the door all smooth and layed a few coats of primer on it. I also smoothed out the front fender. My harlequin bmw is starting to turn all red. I'm hoping to get the passenger side all leval before I jump back to the driver side.

      • The passenger side is getting close. The fender is almost all smooth and the door is all finished. What do you guys think of the front valance idea?? If I make my own, I plan on making it out of steel and riveting it to match the seats. And I can sharpen the edge to chop bunny's in half when I hit them.

Also managed to seal up the front bumper shock holes. A friend had a bunch of left over steel brackets that fit perfect.

I have to order tires for the front wheels. (15/8)
I cant seem to find any 195/40/15 anymore.
Is there anybody who still sells them??
My only other tire I can run is a 165/40/15 and I'm trying to stay away from running to much stretch up front.

                  • Well after many hours of welding, grinding, laying filler, and sanding I have finished the fenders. Now I know why people buy turbo flares. I owe my buddy Travis a big thanks for all the fender metal work. He was there welding the rear fenders on when it was 10 degrees out with nothing but a droplight in a cold dark garage. Next I need to finish stripping the hood and roof, then time for real primer this weekend. things are moving fast in the garage and I cant slow down now. With a little over 3 weeks until h2oi, its looking like I may have a shot at getting the car there. Wish me luck!

                    • Good luck buddy. Car is really taking shape.
3 weeks should be very doable!

I scored a deal on some side skirts today. They are from a 2000 e46 and are in great shape for 50 bucks. They will need some trimming to fit but are the perfect size to cover the beat up rockers. I plan on making some brackets tonight.

This. I was kind of interested, but now i feel kind of confused on what direction this is going. Lot of work, maybe I just need to see it finished to get it...

This car is probably going to upset bmw purists and some car lovers. I'm not worried about others ideas for this car because I have plenty of my own. I don't understand the question you are asking. Its going the opposite direction than you would.??

                              • after trimming and molding the skirts with a torch, I managed to get the finished product that I was looking for. I then riveted them on to the body. this was my first time ever using a rivet gun and it worked great.
