The fenders will be pulled slightly. I don't plan to use less camber on the back though, rather more.Originally posted by Randomofodication View PostLove Roco's! She's looking good, any plans to pull the back fenders to get a lil less camber out back?
I use three layers of (plastic) EZ Camber shims now and they become way too thick so they push the wheel out too much.
So I'll get custom made, extra thin -4,5° steel camber shims, which should nicely solve the too much poke at the rear wheel.

Two months... way to long to go without an update here, but sadly I was pretty busy hanging out with friends, working on my Golf, travelling to New York City and Pittsburgh and hanging out with more friends there.
When I came back to Germany though, I started working on the Rocco right away.
Friend had some broken 195/45s laying around, so I finally had some tires for testfitting.

Getting the tires on the rim was fucking easy, even more compared to the 195/40s on my AZEV As.

...of course I had no fitting wheel valves around. So I had to wait until they arrived today
STRETCH TIME!
...the hard work and burned hairs on my brother's arm payed off.

The tires look a bit more chunky than the Toyos I want to use, once my rims are all done, but they were free and good enough for testfitting them.
Sure had to get them on the Scirocco right away.

The arches still are stock, not rolled or pulled yet, so the lip of the arch sat on the wheel. Once the wheelarches are done, it should drop another inch, giving the look I'm looking for.
I used three camber shims under the rear stub now, resulting in -4°.
They push the wheel out quite a lot though, so a friend will probably make me custom made -4,5° steel camber shims that'll be much thinner than the three layers of plastic shims I use right now.
The wheel will tuck a bit more then, so that I won't have to pull the arch out a lot.
That's it so far... slowly coming near the point where I can start the bodywork

Looks like you're doing it right
I already love this project. Can't beat a properly lowered Scirocco Mk2.
