Thanks, I will be sure to update this as I continue to move along. I am hoping to have the engine bay finished up this next week and in primer.

Sweet project man !! Looks awesome. Lol i understand about the breaks in getting it completed, life rarely wants to take a backseat to our fun and hobbies. My project is going thru the same life hurdles. 🙄 Keep plugging away !

Thats definitely life lol but I think I currently have a pretty good handle on things and I am moving fairly quickly in the right direction finally.

Hopefully by the end of the week I can have the bay in primer and ready for paint so that the motor can go back in next week.

A little bit of filler and some seam sealer and these tubs will be ready for paint.

Haven't had too much time this week and I will be working this weekend so I decided to take advantage of a free night and get my radiator support welded into place. Nothing special but it does allow me to slant the radiator forward and keep it in place. Nice and simple nothing over the top.

The last thing that I need to do prior to paint is to build a mounting bracket for my oil cooler setup. I need to throw the front bumper into place and make sure that I place it properly into one of the openings.

I ordered these spacers from Xcessive Manufacturing. They are one inch spacers for the subframe and I am really hoping they will give me enough clearance to run the factory hood.


Then threw the wheels back on to see how everything fit and see the new angle now that the tubs were completed.




Last but not least since I am now waiting to throw some real primer on the bay so that I can wet sand and paint it, I decided that I might as well throw on the bumper and fenders just to see who my clearance is. Before anyone says it, I know that I need to bring the rear end down some more.

Here you can see how much I had to widen the front bumper in order to make it fit decent.. Some of these replica kits are absolutely ridiculous.

I can't get over how much I love the look of this car now. First and foremost I got the sealer on the tubs and had planned on having it fully primed, wet sanded and painted this weekend but those plans fell through... Maybe next week. On to everyones favorite thing.. PHOTOS!!

Decided that it was about time I start throwing my motor back together so I gathered all my parts and slowly begin putting parts on. This is my first time doing any of this so I decided to take my time and make sure everything was done the right way the first time.

and flipped back over. Everything is looking really good and I can't wait to get the valve covers and pulleys painted to match the engine bay. Im hoping for sunday but it might be next weekend... We shall see soon.

Honestly I have actually been thinking about it lately. Hopefully that first drive changes my mind but no guarantees. If I do sell it though, someone will be getting a pretty well built car for a killer price lol

But back to whats been going on. Slowly putting the motor back together and now I'm trying to figure out how to get custom power steering lines made.

and heres the new power steering bracket that I ordered a couple weeks ago. Not sure why I took such a bad photo but whatever lol you get the idea.

Last but not least I applied for a "racer" sponsorship through Mishimoto and got accepted. The first part that I ordered was a oil cooler and probably next year I will go ahead and order a new radiator to help with cooling if needed.

This kit was very well packaged and built to bolt onto a 1990 Ford Mustang GT. Obviously I ordered the kit due to the motor. To make it fit I had to bend a piece of aluminum and drill a few holes for a bracket and then I ended up welding the other side onto the front of the frame rail. It fits perfect and should get really good airflow to keep everything nice and cool.
