That's going to be killer as a switch box.

Bags and all sorts of other goodies show up tomorrow as well, so I'll be taking measurements and putting some things together.

I picked up what is going to be my switch box today too, 1959, aiming to keep everything period correct

So the swap is done. Finally.

Just had to put the 4spd standard steering column in and hook up the shift linkage.

After getting everything all hooked up, and bleeding the clutch master and slave cylinders, everything worked flawlessly. Clutch, all gears, the shift linkage etc.

Obviously now that I've been in and under the dash, there are electrical gremlins I have to chase down. Parking lights are on full time now and the headlights aren't working (which were before the swap)

So tomorrow's plan is to square all of that away, register it, and drive her!

Got the brake pedal assembly and the master cylinder bracket out of the brown tail.

Since the brown tail doesn't have a clutch master cylinder, the bracket only has a port for the brake master.

So I need to swap over the bracket from the white tail since it has both brake and clutch master ports.

Both brake and master cylinders are in the brown tail.

And the pedal cluster is also in!

I actually haven't taken any shots of the bay yet. I'll definitely get some.
    just a stock 350 with a 2 barrel carburetor.

They're a common swap since GM transmissions bolt up to the Jag drive shafts.
And the XJ's came with a straight 6 and v12, so the v8 fits in there perfect! No seriously cutting or notching required!
