I bought a 1960 220Sb a little more than a year ago. It needs all kinds of work. I've replaced the center tie rod on the steering linking, scrubbed out the brake master cylinder, flushed the brake fluid, the radiator, the heater core, had the drums machined and the shoes relined, put new brushes in the generator, and two or three other things. Next, I need to figure out why the differential is leaking oil, so I need to go out and get the seals and oil for that. After that, I may try and flush the transmission fluid, replace the filter there, and then replace some of the front suspension parts. This summer, I need to do a rebuild on the engine. I figure that with the spec for the compression ratio being what it is, then I should be getting maybe 115 psi on each piston. I'm actually getting something like 85psi on 5 out of the 6 pistons and about 55 on the fifth one. I'm hoping that the engine won't need a soup-to-nuts rebuild. Maybe the cylinders just need to be bored out a bit and then I can put some oversized skirts on the pistons or rings or something...

well she's back from Maryland, it's a good thing I trailered her, I had an issue with my differential and it wouldn't hold fluid. Not being able to fix it till I got home, (and having another diff here), I decided to YOLO it and cruise it anyway without any fluid.
Although it isnt making any rowdy noises yet, I might end up having to swap diffs for the drive to NJ for First Class Fitment in two weeks.
H2O is always an awesome weekend, and 2012 was no exception.
Great to see most of you guys!

John, the Merc and the Jag look great! Though I don't agree with the engine choice in the cat, it is def cool. I can't wait to see the Merc aired out at the next show we both wind up at.
