I love old batmobiles, ive worked on the semi-auto ones, and its insanely complicated. The old German dude i worked with actually spit on the floor when one came in.

And please park that jag on tarmac. i can hear it rusting through my monitor.
The Jag is on the road, she was out there for a couple days so I could stay focused on the project at hand.

Last night I pulled the steering column out of the brown fin tail.

Everything under the car is in and ready to roll.

First I removed the panel over the tunnel and under the passenger side dash shown here, it even still has the original speaker and speaker box from the factory.

After getting the column pulled, it was time to pull that ratty dash

Got the dash and cluster cap out, big difference.

So on a different note, I have a color deficiency. Not completely color blind, but can't differentiate between similar colors well, at all.

And I never realized the two dashes were different colors.

Oh well, Im sending it anyway, that old dash had to go.

It's already making a huge difference...

Yea man, its really pretty crazy how everything has worked out. It is mechanical sound, no leaks, had the 4spd standard on the column (which I'd rather swap than an automatic) 47,000 documented original miles from California, the interior is super ratty, and the undercarriage is pretty rusty.
And my brown fin tail has 100% clean body and undercarriage, real good interior, but had a terrible terrible dash.

So not only am I happy I was able to even find another fin tail (that wasn't restored and going for $20,000), but that it actually has everything I need for mine.

Yea man. It was really the only thing bad on the entire car. It was really quite amazing the the other fin tail, which has a terrible interior, has a real good dash in it. Worked out perfect.
