Thank you. I sprayed it on and let it sit. I did a horizontal coat, a vertical coat, and a diagonal coat, all while waiting 5 minutes in between. The amount of wrinkle is determined by how heavy the coats are=)

The attention to detail on this car is nuts. Quick question though. Did you bake all the crinkle coated parts or just sprayed it on and let it sit? I need to redo my valve cover and I'm trying to figure out the logistics.

I just dropped my seat pieces off at the upholstery shop. The guy said he will get me a quote by mid afternoon tomorrow=)

I also called the body shop and my car should be getting started mid next week

It is a friends dad that has had the shop since 1981=) He does a lot of collision repair so I am sure that is keeping him busy. He really likes the car and is excited to be the one doing the paint and bodywork for me. The car was supposed to get in the Friday before last but he was trying to get the current cars out. He told me that he would get it in at the end of last week and give me a call once it is in. I haven't heard anything from him so I will be giving him a call after while to see what the plan is=) I don't really care how long it takes as long as he does as good of a job as I have seen him do. He has done some super awesome stuff.

Sadly this common of a lot of paint shops, not sure if this is the right way to look at it but I figure a busy paint shop is a good paint shop (unless it's Maaco or Scheib!). Also I figure that means that they're taking their time to do things right and should do the same once your ride gets in there!

    Nothing too new here.

I just finished moving everything out of the current shop in preparation to move into the next spot once my car comes back. Right now everything is stuffed in my basement storage unit for my apartment=P

Other than that my door cards arrived yesterday and I have been fiddling with the front seats. I got the passenger side disassembled, cleaned up, and reassembled with the Looping II pieces. I just need to get the plastic seat base pins and to remove the surface rust and repaint by the bolt holes on the rails. I am taking the drivers seat parts to an upholstery shop to see how much they will charge to replace the fabric on the outer bolsters since it is wore.

My upper hatch spoiler has also arrived. I am waiting to hear word from the bodyshop so that I can go and test fit it. As far as I have heard, they haven't started on the car yet because they are trying to get their current work out of the way. I was told they were supposed to start at the end of last week but I am hoping it gets in at the end of this week or sometime next week.

Thank you. Compacts have become my favorite e36 platform. I really want one for a daily and one for the girlfriend but you never see them for sale in Wisconsin
