                  • Cory,

I love you. And I love your ability to revamp other car parts in these ways. Your use of a CD7 Honda Accord bumper amazes me. <3

                    • Got back into the booth to sling some paint on the bumper, valance, and repaint the hood. The hood is still giving me problems. Something keeps contaminating the paint or paint surface or something. Not sure what's going on with it. But the rear end is almost done and I'm stoked on how it looks so far.

                      Getting everything apart

Sanding the hood down the first time to get all the weird clearcoat ripples out of it.

                      Rear bumper and valance

Some big areas on the hood rejected, so I had to pay a visit to the paint store since I didn't have enough to coat the whole hood again.

Continuing to sand and fill the areas that rejected

The skirt and bumper cleared and complete

There's an order of operations to things. First I had to mount the skirt thing up. The bumper itself covers the gap and rough upper edge on the skirt to make it a cleaner install.

It was already looking pretty good at that point, then I (with some help from my boys Trevor, Mitch and Brennan, to avoid scratches) mounted up the bumper.

Looks 133456868^5x better than that overbite situation with the exposed tow hooks and bumper shock holes. But the hood is still giving me problems. I'll just sand and spray again in the morning I guess!

                              • Your paint issues to me look like they are caused by an incompatible primer and paint. If you use a spray can primer that is an epoxy primer, you should have no issues. If you are using a filler primer, they tend to shrink and that could be your issue. I am just guessing though because I have no way to know what products you are using.
