My ED6... weekend racer on a budget

Thank you! Yes, you may have missed my suspension setup because I never posted it. I'm extremely embarrassed about it. I'm on stock shocks all around (that have been replaced with more stock shocks over the years) and ebay sleeves that someone gave to me. I put it all together when I was 16 and have concentrated on other things since. I did however make 2.5" extended top hats in the rear. That helped. My front UCAs don't smack off the shock towers because the shock body bottoms out first :P . Pretty lame, I know, but I'd rather have that hit than the UCA.

I feel ya on the setup. im on wagovan rear shocks and 87 accord front shocks and ebay coils bout ime i got stiffer springs tho. i also have 3" extended tophats in the rear.

Yep! That's my dad's. It's actually some GM color he painted it when he was 17. It has a 440 bored to a 446, 1150 dominator carb, aluminum rods, high compression blah blah blah... It's on the stock body though and not tubbed. It runs 10.50's on the motor and he has gone a best of 9.96 on a small shot. Here's some more pics! It really is a beautiful car.

What happened to AWD plans? Doesn't seem to quite line up with a carby engine, also I assume it's not selling any time soon now?

Right. I forgot to say something about all that. I decided one day not to sell the current engine. I was about to go yank it out but decided against it. Good thing too because the friend that wanted to buy it didn't actually have the money.

I was like, "Would I rather have a fast car to rip on now in college or a stupid slow car and a couple thousand bucks to last me through college?" NOPE. I'll take the fast car. I'll make the couple thousand later and have my fun now. So I am!

I probably won't be making any more "go fast" mods to this car. It's at the limits of the 4-puck clutch right now. Next step is a twin disk and I cant afford that.

In the near future I'll be making an ovalized downpipe and a sick nasty skid plate. Because I drove the car today and let me tell you... it was actually pretty aggravating scraping were there were no visible waves in the road.
