    ALRIGHT ITS UPDATE TIME.

So I think this is funny. In this entire build thread on a stance related forum, there has not been one suspension, wheel, or look-my-car's-lower update.

    Until now.

    Because I got new wheels.

They were pretty expensive. Not. They were free. I KNOW RIGHT. I'm pretty excite. Anyways, they're vintage Carroll Shelby wheels from way back when. The cool thing is this: they're 13's. Yep, I'm going to run 13's. 13x6 to be exact with an offset of 12.

I'm getting money transferred to my paypal right now to buy tires and spacers. I'm thinking 185/60's will be my best bet for that meaty look while still being shorter than my current tires. But chime in on what you think would look rad.

I'm going to roll/pull the fenders and make a new downpipe and a skid-plate. If you read all of this you're a doll. And now onto the (lame point and shoot) pictures!

Have you ever referenced HMT before because I feel like a lot of aspects are very similar?

In any event, when I was 17 my Dad and I turbo'd my EJ8 D16Y8 and I raced sometimes at PRP. Pretty cool to see a similar situation...some of my favorite memories are from that phase of life.

So yesterday I got the rod bearings checked for clearance. Everything was good there so I got out the feeler gauges and checked the ring gaps. Thankfully everything was great there too. Put the rings on and slid the pistons in and bolted the rod caps on.

That's oil on the cylinder walls to keep it nice and rust free. Also helps on the first start-up.

Put my head on to see if I had the proper head bolts and just to get it off the work bench.

Looked FOREVER for the windage tray, oil pickup, and pan but only found the tray. Had to clean loads of gunk off of it as well.
I also took apart one of my oil pumps, cleaned it out, greased everything and put that on too.

The vtec dowels are in the mail. I still need to find a set of cams and a vtec solenoid. Then we're good to go! Sorry for the pretty boring updates.

    Thanks, man. Me neither!

I got the bottom end all buttoned up today. I throw a couple pics of that up in a bit.

On a super happy note SCHOOL'S OUT. And it's almost Christmas. No more homework or studying for this guy.

Do it! All these Honda engines are so cheap to build. I bought a complete ring/bearing/main bearing/full gasket kit for 100 dollars. There's not reason not to throw yours together!
