100% different from the old setup. I feel like by doing away with the big stupid flame throwing blast pipes I really have to step it up with the new exhaust.

Ok, in all seriousness I've just been grinding away in the shop every night and once I get in the groove I forget to take pictures. I will go snap some of everything when I remember... But anyways, the motor is bolted it now, tranny is bolted in, I ended up modding the steering some... Here's the only pictures I have because I know that's all you vultures care about.

Shortened this stupid thing by about 4 inches for bellhousing and starter clearance.



This is part of the motor mounts... For got to take a picture after I finished them haha Didn't take a trans mount picture at all



Motor is in though. Motor is at an angle in this picture, but don't worry. The trans mount straightened it up.



Then I maxed out the coils on the frs (not going to cut it)



And we got some new wheels on the beetle

I didn't get quite as much done as I wanted to over the weekend, but considering how much I was out running the roads and picking up parts the progress wasn't too awful. I got the new motor and trans pickied up early sat morning after a loooong Friday night haha



Pulled the trans, manifolds, and accessories off and stuck them on my engine.



Got it all put back together with new gaskets and freeze plugs.





The I got to play with this awesome exhaust jack.



To pull these off.



To sand blast with the new toy.



So that's that.

Motor goes back in tonight for the last time I hope.

I'm slacking on updates something serious.

50% of the parts I ordered were WRONG. I **** dealing with auto parts stores... So I sent back a bunch of stuff, put new freeze plugs in the motor, new distributor, new gaskets/seals... blah blah

Picking up another motor Saturday morning to rob all the accessories and exhaust manifolds off of and I'll probably go ahead and knock out all the mounts and start on the trunk of the car. Idk if any of you remember, but I have a fuel cell and it pretty much takes up all usable space in the trunk and to top it off it's pretty nasty after our little fire incident.

Guess I also have some work to do on a Beetle this weekend as well so hopefully I remember to take some pictures this go round and actually make a worth while update.

Got a lot accomplished last weekend. Finished up modding the front subframe to allow some oil pan clearance and mocked up my motor mounts. I took no pictures of what I did... Slacking, I know. But this is what I have.

Worked on Gene's car some.







Tinkered with the frs suspension some more



Picked up a load of parts for the 302



And got back to work.



Been making good steady progress and I'm pretty confident I'll have everything all wrapped up by sowo.
