getting anywhere on the engine swap?

I tried to fit my Chevy 305 and 700R4. Keyword: Tried.

I have to rework my sub-frame since the oil pan will not clear it. Not sure what to do with the steering. I have to remove the shifter linkage and box in the engine bay. there is no room there either. Atleast there is enough room between the frame rails for it to fit though.

put a windsor in it and save yourself a lot of fab

I think I'll just get a oil filter relocation kit and make mine a front sump. HAHA

Rear sump Chevy motor is your entire problem. Mine is in position in the car now and I'm just building motor mounts. Everything clears the steering and all. Fits like a glove. Of course I did have to make modifications to the subframe, but nothing near the issues I'm sure you're encountering.

Have you put it on the ground yet with the motor and tranny in my front is a little higher but my engine also doesn't have any fluids
